Meet Tamara Bubble

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Tamara Bubble. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Tamara with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?

My work ethic comes from the results it produces. I think it also comes from the realization that as long as I remain consistent, I can complete whatever I set my mind out to do. Growing up, I believe everything came to me easy. College degree … done. CPA license … complete on the 1st try. The odd thing was that I was also a pretty bad procrastinator. I realized that if I had a deadline (or set one, even when I didn’t), I could get the task done. So, I applied this practice to my entire life. I treat life as a to-do list and I don’t necessarily apply pressure to my goals, I just consistently add new things to my list and I’m always ticking a few more items off. It allows me to be ever-growing in my career and achievements and always feeling accomplished by consistently working towards my goals.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I’m a former CPA turned “Sync Superstar” rapper, singer, songwriter, author, publisher, music licensing agent, “I Hear Money” coach + beyond. I create timeless hits that will be around for years to come.

My music defies genre and has been featured on HBO, Disney, Google, Paramount, Universal Pictures, CW, NBC, FOX, ABC, CBS, Peacock, HBOmax, Freeform, Showtime, VH1, Verizon, Volkswagen, Samsung, AT&T, Netflix, HULU, Amazon, Spectrum Original, MTV, BET, TNT, USA Network, National Geographic and so much more!

I’m also the creator and host of “I Hear Money” podcast, but some other career highlights include:

– Founder of Sync Superstar Academy with advanced level music licensing courses
(30 Day Challenge + 24 Hour (Accelerated Self Study version) via syncsuperstar.com

– Three time book author of “From Sync To Superstar”, “Sync Biz Tax Deductions” and newly released e-book “Top 5 Mistakes Killing Your Music Career” now available exclusively via Sync Superstar Academy.

The beauty of being an independent entertainer is that I get to build my music catalog full time and teach other indie artists how to develop careers and make money licensing their songs to film and tv shows too.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Consistency, Discipline & Always learning.

Early on in your journey, it’ll seem easy. There’ll be lots of hope and excitement, but it can all fade away if your dreams don’t come true fast enough. That’s where discipline and consistency are required. You’lll need them in order to get past all the no’s. All the negativity. All the hurdles. Plus, if you’re staying abreast of the education needed in your industry, then you won’t get left behind and will be able to adapt to changes as needed.

Any advice for folks feeling overwhelmed?
I recommend taking breaks to handle overwhelming situations. I also live by a never-ending TO-DO list. I update it constantly with tasks, but my goal is to only tackle a few items each day so that I’m always working towards my goals and consistently putting in the effort required to reach them.
