We recently connected with Tansy Rodgers and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Tansy , appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
My resilience came from knowing that I simply didn’t have any other choice. And, knowing that deep down, I was put here on this Earth to play a bigger role — for a deeper purpose — that I only was being led to by a proverbial breadcrumb trail. Ever since I was a young girl, there were times in my life when everything felt so overwhelming that I couldn’t see a way out. Honestly, I felt stuck and alone and a bit like a weirdo, but there was a little voice within me that whispered, “just keep going.” And, even when the grips of depression and anxiety felt like they were suffocating me, I knew deep down that there was something bigger I was meant to move towards. It wasn’t always clear, but that sense of purpose—like a small, steady flame—kept me going. I think when you’re in a place where the only option is to push forward, you discover strength you didn’t even know you had. Like the day I lost my uncle, the only person I felt I could authentically connect to as a young child or the precious moments of having to say goodbye to my bestest fur friend — the emotions and the sadness felt like a rip in my soul, but still, even as crippling as those emotions felt at the time, I knew that I had to push forward. For me, resilience wasn’t about being fearless or invincible. It was about realizing that, no matter what came my way, I had the power to keep moving. The challenges I faced—whether they were emotional, physical, or even financial—forced me to dig deep, and in that process, I became more connected to my own sense of worth and what I truly wanted out of life. My own sense of courage. Possibility. Potential. All leading me to where I am at today!
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
Right now, I’m focused on helping women—especially busy moms and entrepreneurs—heal from burnout, manage ADHD, and reclaim their energy. As a holistic health coach and energetic nutrition practitioner, I blend functional nutrition with energy healing to help my clients overcome not just physical health challenges like gut issues and inflammation, but also the mental and emotional blocks that can keep them stuck. I’m also the host of The Energy Fix podcast, where I share free, supportive content to help people navigate stress, burnout, and life’s challenges with practical tools and mindset shifts.
A huge part of my work is my therapeutic crystal jewelry line, beU Therapeutic Crystal Jewelry. Each piece is designed with intention and infused with Reiki energy to support healing on a deeper level. The crystals I use are carefully selected to address specific challenges—whether it’s stress relief, confidence building, or energetic protection. My goal is for each piece to serve as both a beautiful accessory and a healing tool, helping women stay grounded, balanced, and empowered throughout their day. This fall, I’m excited to launch new designs that focus on balancing the energy centers and promoting emotional clarity, as well as custom pieces that cater to individual needs. The jewelry complements the other work I do, creating a holistic approach that merges physical healing with energetic support. I also offer group Crystal Reiki sessions, which provide a powerful way for women to release stuck energy and feel nurtured in a community. With my podcast, jewelry, and energy work, I’m committed to providing tools and resources to help women find balance, feel grounded, and thrive.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Looking back, I’d say three key things have had the biggest impact on my journey. First, my intuition and empath sensitivities have always been guiding forces. Being highly sensitive to energy has helped me connect deeply with my clients and understand their needs on a level that goes beyond the physical. I’ve learned to trust my gut and allow my intuition to lead, which has been essential in both my personal healing and the work I do with others. For those starting out, I’d encourage them to spend time cultivating their intuition—whether it’s through mindfulness, meditation, or just learning to listen to that inner voice.
Second, growing up as a woman in my particular family taught me a lot about resilience and the importance of standing in your truth. My experiences gave me perspective and shaped my sense of self-worth, especially as I navigated the pressures and expectations put on me. For anyone starting their own journey, I’d say it’s so important to reflect on how your experiences have shaped you, and then use that understanding as fuel to create the life you want.
Finally, my late diagnosis of ADHD was a game changer. It helped me make sense of so many things I had struggled with for years—like focus, overwhelm, and feeling different. Learning to work with my ADHD instead of against it has been empowering. For anyone who suspects they may have ADHD or is newly diagnosed, my advice is to seek out support and resources. Learning how your brain works and embracing your unique wiring can help you turn what feels like a challenge into a strength.
What do you do when you feel overwhelmed? Any advice or strategies?
When I feel overwhelmed, I make it a priority to take care of my health and create a supportive environment for myself. One of the first things I do is focus on my nutrition, choosing foods that keep my brain clear and my energy steady. This might mean incorporating more whole foods, healthy fats, and hydration into my diet while minimizing sugar and processed foods that can lead to energy crashes.
I also work to take things off my plate—whether it’s delegating tasks, saying no to new commitments, or simply prioritizing what really matters. Energy healing sessions, whether they’re Crystal Reiki or other modalities, have been invaluable for me. They help me reset and release any stagnant energy that’s contributing to my overwhelm.
If I need to cry, I let those emotions flow. It’s important to honor your feelings rather than bottle them up. Talking it out with trusted friends or family can also provide perspective and support. I’ve found that listening to my intuition is key—when I pay attention to that inner voice, I can identify what I truly need at the moment.
For anyone else feeling overwhelmed, here are a few additional strategies that can be helpful:
Mindfulness Practices: Incorporating mindfulness or meditation can help ground you and create a sense of calm. Even just a few minutes a day can make a difference.
Movement: Physical activity, whether it’s yoga, walking, or dancing, can release pent-up energy and boost your mood.
Nature Connection: Spending time in nature can be incredibly restorative. Even a short walk outside can help clear your mind and reduce stress.
Journaling: Writing down your thoughts and feelings can help you process what you’re experiencing and provide clarity.
Creative Outlets: Engaging in creative activities—like art, music, or crafting—can be a wonderful way to express yourself and relieve stress.
Setting Boundaries: It’s okay to set boundaries and prioritize your well-being. Remember, it’s not selfish to take care of yourself.
Overall, it’s about finding what works best for you and creating a toolbox of strategies to draw from whenever life gets overwhelming.
