We were lucky to catch up with Tera Coughlin recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Tera, we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?
I develop my confidence by just being me, doing what I enjoy and what I feel comfortable doing. I try really hard not to worry what others think of me or how they perceive me. I’ve always had my sense of style and I just own it and not think too much about it. I also root for others at all times because at the end of the day that’s only going to help me and the others that I support and lift up. It feels good to build people up and really give others tools to help them with their own confidence. It feels good when others look up to you, which is a big part of how I can maintain my self-esteem.

I can help define your personal style and an organization process that aligns with your lifestyle. It’s time for you to feel happiness within again.
My goal is to create intentional styling, organizing, and refining services that understands where clients are and takes their lifestyles, finances and situations seriously. I am insightful and try to inspire clients through thoughtful designs. I am a stylist who believes That all women should embrace change and live confidently stylish!
My mission is to empower women with organization, style and refinement!
I now offer Boutique Meet & Greets. This is where we shop together for a bit, we can talk all things fashion and give you helpful closet editing tips. This is a fun event for those out there who would like to get to know me and more about my services!
I also now offer Pop-Up Styling Workshops. This is a perfect opportunity to get girlfriends together and talk about fashion, trends, how to’s, organizational ideas, and of course everything in between!
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
The most impactful part of my journey; living in New York City for a decade really expanded my horizon with fashion and knowledge on styling, and how to really network with people and getting to know so many different stories in the melting pot of the world. I am a very social person, and I think that has helped me a lot along the way. I love people I love talking to anyone, and I truly enjoy learning about other peoples past and knowing their story on how and why they got to their place in life. To me, it’s fascinating to dig into others lives and their closet.
So for anyone starting out, I think that just being open, honest, and communicate is a key skill.
I am very open and honest with everyone right out of the gate. You know what you get with me and I think others appreciate that.
I also think putting yourself out there to others in vulnerable situations is a key skill. Yes, it’s hard, but it really opens up so many doors.
