Meet Tiannah Jones

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Tiannah Jones a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Tiannah with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?
My parents have always worked hard to instill in my siblings and myself about the importance of going to school, getting a job to create your own business. They always said that working is hard or boring if you’re doing what you love to do and helping those that can not do for themselves. When I created Lakira skin Paradise I didn’t realized how it would impact teens my age to do the same and now we collab on many prophecy’s now.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
My name is Tiannah “Lakira Ruby “ Jones. I was bored during Covid and unable to leave the house, so the little things I never paid any attention to became noticeable, like for example the blotches on my brothers arms and face. He told it was eczema and that he had always had them. I became intrigued and started to research, after long hours and days I felt that the commercial products are to keep you coming back because it’ll come back but I was to create something that would rid but the product was so health for your skin that you would want to keep using it. I make Lotions, soaps, bath bombs and body mist. Each of the the flavors specialize in different health benefits from the ingredients used. Like the beetroot in Strawberry shortcake is for blood circulation. I’m 15years old now and working to expand into Lashes and nails. I will also have my products in The Krate at wesley Chapel Soon. And I’m still at the markets Seminole Heights, Hyde Park, Saturday Shoppes etc. I plan on opening my own shop in Tampa soon. TBD

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Well, if you’re a Teenpreneur like myself, find your voice first, when I started I had some many ideas but afraid to speak to anyone but my family and on camera I was a mess. Researching is the most important part when it comes to products. Trail and error don’t be scared to fail once or twice .. my first products weren’t the best and the bottles malfunctioned and I used to cry, now I find a better supplier, listening to other business owners was very important to me as well everyone has a story, you just have to listen and learn. And always want to improve and teach others what you’ve learned.

Before we go, any advice you can share with people who are feeling overwhelmed?
When I feel overwhelmed and everything is becoming too much, I think about self care, I get pampered, and go to the beach to gather my thoughts. I try to remember that I’m still a kid and need to have fun with my friends and go to the movies. And then once I take a day t my self I get back at it.
