We were lucky to catch up with Tina Snyder, Owner, Creator & Designer of Enchanted Etc. recently and have shared our conversation below.
Tina, so excited to have you with us today. So much we can chat about, but one of the questions we are most interested in is how you have managed to keep your creativity alive.
I keep my creativity alive by always staying current with the latest trends, popular brands and local theme park influencers such as bloggers, vloggers and other various social media platforms that share trendy “theme park” styles.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
Enchanted Etc. started as something I originally created for my mom and I to wear when visiting the theme parks. This idea started in June 2016 when my mom and I spent an afternoon enjoying the topiaries and blooms at Epcot’s International Flower and Garden Festival, which, in the future, ended up molding into a small business venture.
Excited to participate in the magic, I searched the park for a pair of floral mouse ears but unfortunately found nothing that matched what I was envisioning. After some thought, I decided to design my own pair, posted them on social media, and received a ton of compliments. That’s when Enchanted Etc. blossomed.
I use my creativity and imagination (sprinkled with a little magic), to design beautiful and unique inspired floral mouse ears. These mouse ears are handmade for special occasions, holidays, sports teams, characters, etc … the list is endless. Available for adults and children of all ages.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Looking back, areas of knowledge that I found that were most impactful were in my journey are the following:
1) Perfecting my craft and making sure that my product was unique compared to other products on the market
2) Learning my audience and demographics of my consumers
3) Building a solid social media platform where I have the ability to share products through high quality pictures
My advise for folks who are early in their artistic career journey is make sure you take the time out to understand your product and the consumers you are targeting. Also, it is important to build up your small business by creating a social media platform that will allow you the opportunity to share your product with new and existing consumers.
What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?
My biggest area of growth for me over the past 12 months is effectively building out a solid social media platform for Enchanted Etc. where encouraging consumers, clients and influencers to share their pictures when wearing their floral inspired mouse ears. I’ve always enjoyed sharing my product with my audience and communicating through word-of-mouth.
Enchanted Etc. strives to maintain and continue to build by gaining new and existing followers, posting new products and staying current with latest theme park trends through pictures, reels and stories. In my spare time, I also try to collaborate with local businesses participating in raffles, giveaways, craft shows/pop-up events and passing out business cards when I have the opportunity.
