Meet Tobias Griffin

We recently connected with Tobias Griffin and have shared our conversation below.

Tobias, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
I found my purpose thanks to a talent show in middle school. I was always dancing in front of a tv at home or In general. One day my school announced that we had a talent show coming up and the only thing that i could think of was dance. So i went for it and not only did i win over all by myself but i won the next following year as well. At that moment i knew that dance was meant to be in my life! And as time passed, i found more opportunities to use my talent and found other talents along the way. Eventually i realized that my purpose was in the entertainment industry overall!

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I’m a man with many hats. Im a hip hop instructor, youth programs coordinator, photographer, videographer, model, event host , artist, and father. The most exciting thing about what i do are the performances. The rush you get before performing in front of people especially hundreds or thousands; I’ve done both. I really love to entertain people so i would do that through my dance and performance. I don’t have anything major coming up as of right now but i do teach hip hop classes weekly. I teach beginners hip hop on Monday nights at 7pm at Dancing Grounds & I teach intermediate hip hop on Wednesdays at 6pm at Move Studio. I teach both kids and adults!

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Three qualities i had was determination, consistency, and adaptability!

To better develop in those areas, my advice to people would be to want something bad enough to where that’s all you think about.

After you think about it, then turn those thoughts into action; that’s determination. After turning them into actions, then keep going and don’t stop no matter how hard it may get; that’s consistency.

And lastly if things do go wrong, learn how to adjust and make the best of things. Things don’t always go our way and sometimes we have to dust ourselves off, learn from it, and try again; that’s adaptability!

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
Yes I’m always looking for more people to partner with or collaborate with. Any content creators, event throwers, music artists, street dancers, dance instructors, plus more!
