Tram Anh, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?
1. Continuous Learning and Skill Development: By constantly improving my skills in nail art and massage therapy, I gained confidence in my expertise. Staying updated with the latest techniques and attending workshops and competitions helped me feel more competent and self-assured. 2. Overcoming Challenges: Facing and overcoming various challenges, whether in competitions or in running my business, has been instrumental in building resilience and self-confidence. Each obstacle I surmounted taught me more about my capabilities and strengths.
3. Support and Feedback: The support from mentors, peers, and clients has been crucial. Positive feedback and constructive criticism have helped me grow and believe in my abilities. Surrounding myself with a supportive community encourages me to take risks and pursue my goals.
4. Reflecting on Achievements: Taking time to reflect on my achievements, such as participating in international competitions and successfully running Phoenix Beauty Academy, reinforces my self-esteem. Recognizing my accomplishments reminds me of my journey and the hard work that has led to my success.
5. Self-Care and Mindfulness: Practicing self-care and mindfulness helps maintain a positive mindset. It’s important to treat yourself kindly, celebrate small victories, and maintain a balanced lifestyle.

For those looking to develop their confidence, my advice is to focus on skill mastery, embrace challenges as growth opportunities, seek supportive networks, celebrate your achievements, and practice self-care. Confidence builds over time with experience and self-awareness.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
“I specialize in nail artistry and massage therapy, blending traditional and modern techniques to create unique beauty experiences. What excites me most is the ability to transform nails into miniature canvases of art, showcasing intricate designs and innovative styles. My brand, Phoenix Beauty Academy, located in My Tho City, embodies this ethos, offering top-notch services and training to aspiring artists.

In addition to nail art, my expertise in Massage Therapy, grounded in Eastern medicine, allows me to offer a holistic approach to beauty and wellness.

I’m thrilled to share that we’re expanding our services and launching new educational programs at Phoenix Beauty Academy. This includes advanced nail art techniques and specialized massage therapy courses, aiming to elevate industry standards and nurture the next generation of beauty professionals.

Lastly, I’m proud of my achievements, such as judging in ‘Inca 2023’ and ‘Best Skill Competitive Korea,’ and participating in ‘Cosmo Nail 2018’ in Malaysia. These experiences not only honed my skills but also allowed me to contribute to the global beauty community.”

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
1. Creativity and Innovation: Nail art is an ever-evolving field that requires constant innovation. Staying abreast of trends and experimenting with new designs has been crucial. My advice for newcomers is to always keep an open mind and experiment with different styles and techniques. Inspiration can come from anywhere – fashion, nature, or even architecture. 2. Technical Skills and Precision: Mastery in nail art and massage therapy demands a high level of technical skill and attention to detail. It’s important to invest time in learning and perfecting your craft. For those starting out, I recommend thorough training, either through formal education or apprenticeships, and consistent practice to refine your skills.
3. Business Acumen and Customer Service: Understanding the business aspect, including marketing, customer relations, and management, is vital. Building a strong brand and maintaining high customer satisfaction are key to success. For new entrants, it’s important to develop good communication skills, understand your market, and always prioritize client needs and experiences.

Remember, continual learning and adapting are essential in this dynamic industry. Stay passionate, be patient with your growth, and embrace every opportunity to learn and improve.

Alright, so before we go we want to ask you to take a moment to reflect and share what you think you would do if you somehow knew you only had a decade of life left?
“One of the main challenges I’m facing is balancing the continuous innovation in nail art and massage therapy with the operational demands of running Phoenix Beauty Academy. The beauty industry is fast-paced and constantly evolving, requiring me to stay updated with the latest trends and techniques. At the same time, managing the academy involves administrative work, staff training, and ensuring high-quality service delivery.

Another challenge is adapting to the changing landscape of beauty education, particularly in the digital era. Embracing online platforms for training and marketing, while maintaining the essence of hands-on experience in our courses, requires a delicate balance.

To overcome these challenges, I focus on effective time management, delegate responsibilities to trusted team members, and continually explore new educational methods that blend traditional and digital approaches. These strategies help me to maintain the quality of our services and education programs, while also driving innovation in our offerings.”
