We were lucky to catch up with Tre McCluskey recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Tre , appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
I became a father at a young age, which forced me to grow up fast. When I experienced adversity, I couldn’t allow myself to stay down because I have young people depending on my success.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
Threads By Tre is a custom suit company that creates timeless pieces for the classic man. This past year, we spent a lot of time growing our new collections:
The Classic Man Collection provides me with a custom ready suit at an affordable price. These suits are available in 4 colors and come in 3 or 8 piece sets.
The Wedding Collection is a line of suits and tuxedos designed by me to outfit any groom, groomsmen or wedding guest. The groom’s tuxedo comes in black and white and the suit line is available in 4 colors. Not only are these suits great for a wedding, but they are staple for the well dressed gentlemen’s closet.
In addition to collection development, we had a crazy prom season and all of our young men dressed in Threads won prom king. We’ve participated in a few fashion shows, career days and community events.
We are gearing up for an explosive 2024!
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
The best piece of advice I can offer is to always be a student of your craft and build a solid team around you.

How would you describe your ideal client?
My ideal client is any man or women looking to create a 1 of 1 look! I truly enjoy working with individuals and incorporating their style into a suit. Seeing it come full circle is a rewarding experience.
