Meet TreGotti

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful TreGotti a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

TreGotti, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?
I’d say my work ethic comes from my love for adventure and wanting to see how far I can push myself. I want to see how much I can have myself grow, how much can I hone my talent, how accurate can I convey this emotion. All of that plus wanting to learn from/emulate those who inspired me, I find a way to work every single day, even if it’s from a different angle or element of my craft.
I love a challenge and there’s always a beyond point to set eyes on.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
In short – I like to think of what I do as constantly finding new ways of expressing myself and my thoughts/views for others enjoyment and to digest and come to their own realizations. I’m fascinated by the number of ways words can be used and rearranged and manipulated. You can count the number of words in a verse or a song, but the possible meanings one gets from that? That’s what I live for.

Currently, I’m working on a 5 song EP of remixes that will be exclusive to my YouTube channel. I even plan to shoot a video or two for the project before moving on to some new original works. But all of that is coming VERY soon, so stay tuned.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Perseverance, Dedication, and Passion.

I’d have to go with that for my big 3. The words overlap in some areas, but I truly believe that if I lacked any one of those 3, I wouldn’t even be here right now.

For perseverance, remind yourself of the light at the end of the tunnel, keep making new goals to keep that ambition thriving. Yes you’ll stumble and even fall, but as long as you keep the vision, you CAN get back up and keep going.

For dedication, understand that if it was easy, everybody would be doing it. Take pride in knowing that this skill/talent/love has been gifted to you. It’s yours to explore, not anyone else’s.

And for Passion, when you do what you love, you’ll never work another day in your life. I credit my Mom for introducing me to that concept and it holds true to this day. Your passion can end up being lucrative, be an outlet, it can become many different things, but it’s pivotal that you find your calling and go all in. You’ll know when you find it.

Before we go, maybe you can tell us a bit about your parents and what you feel was the most impactful thing they did for you?
The most impactful thing that my parents done for me is: Let me “be”.

Period.

They didn’t try to live vicariously through me and they didn’t try to mold me into what they thought I should be. When I was very young, they did push/encourage me to go beyond my comfort zone and they did expose me to different things, and I believe that as I got older and they seen the niche I gravitated towards, they helped support it as much as possible. And I love them for that.

If I had a question, they gave me the honest answer, they didn’t try to manipulate anything. They truly just wanted and STILL want me to be the best that I can be in whatever I want to do. And they understand that I’ll go to them when I need to, so there’s no need to be overbearing either.
It’s truly a blessing and I’m grateful.
