Meet Tyler Burr

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Tyler Burr. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Tyler, thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?
I get my resilience from the city of Muskegon, MI. Growing up there, you can’t be easily broken. You learn from a kid that you have to stay strong in whatever you’re doing or you won’t make it. With all the obstacles life gives & people always doubting you or thinking you can’t achieve something forces a thicker skin to block out the outside noise.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
My name is Tyler Burr, I go by the artist name “Burr” & I make music. I always think about what the best part of my artistic journey is & I can never pin point it. I love making the songs, networking & meeting new people.. the places I’ve been & rooms I’ve been in would’ve never happened if I wasn’t on this artistic road I’m on. I like to think my music gives an uplifting hopeful feeling to the person listening. I’m in the process of lining my 2024 shows up now! All ready for the new year.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
The three qualities I think were the most impactful for me have been optimism, patience, & consistency. I think those are the pillars to any self working goal. You need optimism to stay hopeful when things are looking down. Patience because nothing happens over night. & consistency because you have to be able to stick with what you’re doing or you’ll never get far. My advice to anyone is to keep those 3 things at the forefront in whatever your doing.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
I’m always looking for new people to connect & work with! I’d love to meet other artist, musically as well as otherwise. Clothing line creators, dj’s, venue promoters.. I’m all about linking & making something happen! People can reach me on social platforms @BurrSSO
