Meet Tyra George

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Tyra George a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Tyra, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
This is an on going journey for me, but I can confidently say I’m still figuring out my full purpose while still showing up for others and myself.

I never thought I would be a life coach or anything in that field until it just showed up. I’ve always been the solution based person that gives suggestions and a different perspective.. it just worked out for me to help others like I helped myself.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I’ve been on my journey of self-discovery for a few years now and during this time I’ve learned so much about healing, self-awareness and accountability.

My goal is to help others focus out thier path and start rewriting their stories right along with me.

We all need a support system and sometimes someone to give it to us straight and let us know that we’re not alone. That’s why I’m here. To support, guide and educate on how you can rewrite your own narrative.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Top three are being a good communicator, remaining open to learning and being ok with asking for help.

Don’t fall for the okie doke of thinking that you are always right, that you aren’t capable and that asking for help equates to failure. You are more than capable and having a great support system is needed.

What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?
My biggest area is learning to let go, and not falling victim to comparisons.

I’ve currently embracing change and being open to asking and receiving help.

This is something that can hold you back from greatness, so don’t show you to get into your own way.
