Meet Varcy

We were lucky to catch up with Varcy recently and have shared our conversation below.

Varcy , thank you so much for taking the time to share your lessons learned with us and we’re sure your wisdom will help many. So, one question that comes up often and that we’re hoping you can shed some light on is keeping creativity alive over long stretches – how do you keep your creativity alive?
I use everything around me to inspire me no matter the mood or circumstance. I try to allow myself to create whether I fail or not. I find comfort in executing projects because it lets me know what’s possible. I try to keep a steady flow of creativity even if it’s just for me to intake.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I’m focusing on expanding my career beyond my hometown and introducing my music and brand abroad. Im from the island so it’s exciting to have a platform that’s growing beyond what I’m use to. I’m interested in watching the fruits of my labor unfold but I’m also enjoying the process as it comes. I really want to bring my dreams to reality but I know it’s going to take even more work! I’m up for the challenge!

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
I would think the ability to persevere, be innovative and be passionate. I think those served as a good combination, especially when things get really tough. I would say believe and invest in yourself first and the rest will follow.

How would you describe your ideal client?
The characteristics of a client that’s ideal for me is someone that’s enthusiastic about the project itself. Someone who sees the vision and understands the process of creating in its entirety and lastly someone that absolutely trusts you to complete the task.
