Meet Venisha Arnold

We were lucky to catch up with Venisha Arnold recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Venisha , appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
My Parents, my Christian upbringing and myself. Over the course of my life what I know is to get what I want it takes faith and persistence hence the name of my first nonprofit Persistence is The Key.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I’m a practicing lawyer by profession. I love my career, I Thank God for it. Its literally in my blood to practice law, by profession and training My Dad is a lawyer. The newest thing I have going currently is The Arnold Foundation, my scholarship fund I established in memory of My Father. I graduated from the same law school as My Father and The Arnold Foundation was something I have been thinking about for over a year I wanted my name on this next venture and I was an Arnold before I was Venisha Arnold and of course My Dad is THE ARNOLD so The Arnold Foundation was born. The difference between my two nonprofits is The Arnold Foundation’s ONLY focus is education in the form of scholarship giveaways. My first nonprofit Persistence is The Key, has evolved from education to voting, humanitarian issues, a podcast and who knows what else I have a LOT of ideas but its about time, implementation and funding. I enjoy my philanthropic work via my organizations but I also significantly financially support my church another form of my philanthropy.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Positive Thinking, Persistence & Discipline. Supposedly it takes 3 weeks to build a habit. If you want to become disciplined to accomplish a goal you must be persistent. Now if you have your mind made up that this goal is what you want (positive thinking) & you will not let anything or anyone stop you from there you will build your persistence. Your Positive Thinking will give you the Persistence to be Disciplined to accomplish your goal(s).

Awesome, really appreciate you opening up with us today and before we close maybe you can share a book recommendation with us. Has there been a book that’s been impactful in your growth and development?
The Bible. Faith with action. I like to say God helps those who help themselves. You do everything you know to do to get the result you want in any situation & you trust God for the rest. There are a few other books out there that give you a lot of good life advice such as 48 Laws of Power, Art of Seduction, Why Men Love B—es among others.
