Meet Victoria Cumberbatch

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Victoria Cumberbatch. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Victoria below.

Victoria, so happy to have you with us today. You are such a creative person, but have you ever head any sort of creativity block along the way? If so, can you talk to us about how you overcame or beat it?
When I’m finding that I have a creativity block, there are a few tools I have in my belt to support me. Firstly, I tend toward brain dumping to get everything out of my head and onto paper. Totally messy and often thrown out. If that doesn’t work, then I set myself up to have some fun with friends, like doing something new, going to a show, or watching a movie to get my brain off me and into inspiring fun. If that still doesn’t quite hit, then I book travel because no matter what, being in a new environment can absolutely pique my inspiration and I often end up writing lots of lists or mindmapping!

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
As a transformation coach, I partner with people to dust off their masterpiece so that they too can see it. That’s the TLDR version! As a coach, I offer myriad options for those that simply need a little mindset shift for an upcoming goal to a more long term, steady approach to making lasting change in their lives. With facilitation, I design and share workshops to teams and communities around authentic connecting, relating and leading. These would be for HR teams that want to offer professional development to their teams, or ERGs that have budgets for professional development, to team offsites & retreats. Additionally, I hold space in Denver by way of women’s circles & community breathwork!

2023 has been an immense year filled with education, healing, and journeying inward. I’d thought that up to now, I had done quite a bit of internal work and this year showed me lots of gaps that I get to work through. Once I started finding community here in Denver [as I moved here within the pandemic via van life], I knew that the universe was showing me that I was making progress individually and now I could tap into a greater network of humans. Community has not only been my career for a decade, but is also a lifestyle choice. I get fueled by being in community and I tend to find myself seeking out all the ways I can ensure it remains rich and juicy in my life; thereby keeping me sharp and progressing.

Somethings I have coming up in Q1 2024 are:
/Authentic Leadership group coaching container through the platform Forum [https://www.joinforum.com/]
/Free, virtual somatic grounding sessions via the platform FLOWN [ https://flown.com/sc/d4de5-thought-leadership-sprint?referral=victoria-cumberbatch-4200b]
/Denver based & virtual events: adventuresofcommunity.com/events
/Wellness retreat in Costa Rica, August 2024 [but the early bird price is until March] and that’s at: tinyurl.com/CRetreat2024

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
The most impactful areas of knowledge include, being able to receive feedback. Feedback on our blindspots can be a gift, particularly when we say we’re on a self development journey. How can we improve without honest feedback? It’s rare that the situation simply arises and even rarer when people take the chance to risk sharing feedback, but I have made it a practice in my life and my close circle has caught on. It’s allowed me to quantum leap.

The humility woven into the ideology of ‘always be learning’ allows me to sit comfortably in not knowing it all 🙂 Which has been a difficult hurdle to navigate because for most of my life, I thought knowing it all was what people wanted from me. Viki the responsible one, Viki knows what to do/say/be and so on. By putting that identity on a shelf, it’s allowed me to just be. As well as, go down various rabbit holes of information gathering for the joy of it.

Taking time to really discern my zone of genius and hone my ADHD has been lifegiving. It’s allowed me to find spaciousness in my days, rest, configure boundaries, tap into my intuition and so much more.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
It would be delicious to collaborate with those in the event space, such as retreat leaders, conference & summit organizers, or company offsite leaders. It would be a joy to contribute to their teams or audiences through offering my signature workshop [or split up workshops] for deepened connections. Additionally, I am a trauma informed, certified breathwork facilitator and being able to offer this impactful modality for wellness retreats would be lovely.
