We recently connected with Whilly Bermudez and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Whilly, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
My work ethic is characterized by a strong commitment to excellence and a relentless drive to achieve my goals. I believe in being proactive, taking initiative, and always seeking out opportunities to learn and grow. I’m highly organized, detail-oriented, and dedicated to meeting deadlines and exceeding expectations. Above all, I value integrity, honesty, and transparency in all my professional interactions.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I am an American Media Entrepreneur, Marketing Leader, & Author- Affectionately Known as the “WB”.
I am also an award-winning marketer with more than 20 years’ experience in the branding and digital space. What began as a path in event promotions lead into a career of corporate marketing leadership and services for private clients I have a relentless pursuit to take ideas beyond their creative limits. My focus is to create ‘out of the box’ concepts that continue to set me apart.
I’ve developed countless unique brand concepts & even some of my social media content has gone viral and been shared millions of times over.
Currently I am the founder of ‘WB Brand Concepts + Good ideas’. As the name implies, we create brand concepts and generate ideas for our private clients and customers. We create a myriad of brands that focus on a wide range of industries, sectors, and types. Some of our developed brands are offered as standalone, while others are packaged with an entire social media presence already developed.
Some of our created brands are aimed towards television programming, travel / hospitality, or various other sectors. And of course, we also provide all other marketing services.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
1. Adaptability: The ability to adapt to changing circumstances and respond to new challenges is critical in any professional setting. As markets, technologies, and consumer preferences evolve, companies need employees who can stay nimble, creative, and resourceful.
2. Communication: Effective communication is essential for building relationships, resolving conflicts, and achieving results. Its having the ability to express themselves clearly and concisely, listen actively, and collaborate with others is more likely to succeed in their role. Strong communication skills also help to establish trust, build morale, and foster a positive work environment.
3. Accountability: A person who takes ownership of their work and accepts responsibility for their actions is an invaluable asset to any organization. A sense of accountability means following through on commitments, delivering high-quality work, and taking initiative to solve problems. It also involves being open to feedback, learning from mistakes, and striving for continuous improvement.
Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?
I think that its probably “The Lean Startup” by Eric Ries – This book presents a methodology for starting and growing businesses that emphasizes rapid experimentation, customer feedback, and continuous innovation. It has become a widely popular guide for entrepreneurs and startups looking to build successful, sustainable businesses.
