YM, so excited to have you with us today. So much we can chat about, but one of the questions we are most interested in is how you have managed to keep your creativity alive.
I come from a family of creatives everything we wanted my family created in house . My family is what keep’s my creativity consistent. The goal is to own everything so I never have to depend on a soul.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
Hello I am 16 year old signed recording artist YM out of Chattanooga, Tennessee. I write , rap and sing . I was discovered and signed to Nick Cannon at the age of 11 . I am apart of a New Boy Band called ,”Pop Money “ who was put together by Nick Cannon , there are 5 members who sing and dance. Check out Pop Money all on major social sites to stay tuned for more . Pop Money has some dope records out now on all major streaming sites “Boys Don’t Cry “, “ New Drip ,” and “Another Dimension “ which is apart of the new Spiderverse movie .
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Self Discipline, Confidence and Consistency. My advice to anyone starting early is always believe in yourself and push hard for yourself . Never look for hand claps just do the work and stay the course . Never expect anything from anyone so you will not be disappointed.
Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?
God, My parents and the bossman Nick Cannon has been the most helpful in my career . I am nothing and nobody without God ! I appreciate all of the sacrifices and hard work my parents have made this is my fuel to keep me hungry and focused. To the Big Bossman Nick Cannon on taking a chance on me and signing me and giving me Ncredible opportunities. My support system is so locked in and I’m forever grateful for them . It’s rare!
