Meet Yoalah Brinson

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Yoalah Brinson. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Yoalah, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?
My resilience stems from a combination of personal experiences, determination, and a strong sense of purpose through facing challenges, learning from setbacks, and maintaining a positive mindset. It is also influenced by my supportive mom and siblings, a clear vision for my goals, and a passion for the work I do. It is also a reflection of my commitment to overcoming obstacles in pursuit of my aspirations.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
My story is a testament to her diverse talents and resilience. Born in Israel and raised in a traditional Hebrew Israelite household, I transitioned to the American lifestyle while preserving my faith and identity. After pursuing acting in Israeli TV shows and commercials, I moved to the U.S., earned a degree in web and graphics design, and ventured into entrepreneurship.

I am the Founder/CEO/Owner of several businesses, including the Queen With Attitude clothing line, Graphics On Wheels, Artist On Wheels, Podcaster On Wheels, Royal Television, Royal Ability Magazine, Middle Eastern Queen Gallery, and Publishing. In 2023, I made history as the first disabled, Black, Middle Eastern model signed by major agencies, and I continue to make waves in the fashion industry.

My recent achievements include campaigns for Moschino, Collina Strada, and Sephora. Notably, I made history at New York Fashion Week, being the first model in a wheelchair to walk the runway for a major fashion house—Moschino.

My focus extends beyond modeling; I’m deeply involved in writing and publishing books, producing movies and TV shows. My debut book, “The Ghost In The Crater,” and horror film, “The Return Of Soraya M: A Story Of Revenge,” showcase my creativity.

As I continue to break barriers, my unique blend of talents makes me an influential figure, impacting both the fashion world and the creative industry at large. Keep an eye on my social media pages for more groundbreaking endeavors and exciting projects.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
My journey showcases the importance of three key qualities:

1. **Resilience:** My ability to overcome challenges and setbacks has been crucial. To those starting their journey, cultivating resilience is vital. Embrace failures as learning opportunities, stay adaptable, and maintain a positive mindset in the face of adversity.

2. **Diversity of Skills:** My proficiency in acting, design, entrepreneurship, and modeling reflects a diverse skill set. Early on, aspiring individuals should explore various interests, acquire a range of skills, and stay open to new experiences. This versatility enhances adaptability in a rapidly changing world.

3. **Courage to Break Barriers:** My historic runway debut exemplifies courage in breaking traditional norms. For those starting out, don’t be afraid to challenge conventions and pursue unconventional paths. Embrace your uniqueness, as it can be a powerful asset in carving your own distinctive journey.

My advice: “Embrace challenges as opportunities for growth, continuously expand your skill set, and fearlessly pursue your unique path. Remember, your journey is as extraordinary as your commitment to being true to yourself.”

Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?
God, my mother, my siblings and my supporters have been most helpful in helping me overcome challenges, build and develop the essential skills, qualities and knowledge I needed to be successful.
