Meet Yolessa Lawrinnce

We recently connected with Yolessa Lawrinnce and have shared our conversation below.

Yolessa, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?
I developed self-esteem by learning how to have compassion for myself. I went through a healing process that eventually brought me to reflect on my whole life, and all the choices I’ve ever made. I remember I was going through a lot of health challenges and living in a foreign country at the time and one evening I found myself collapsed on the floor, and I couldn’t get up. I couldn’t get to the phone and I thought maybe this is it, this is the end, and there in that moment there was a total surrender, and I remember having my entire life flashing before me event to event and the kind of choices that I made and why I made them, and in that moment I discovered self love. Because I became totally honest with myself about why I held onto things and had made certain choices that were probably not in my best interest, so I understood how hurt I was, and in embracing myself and loving myself something happened. I discovered I had value. I gave myself value in the moment. I made myself worth loving no matter what unconditionally, regardless of what had happened to me, and regardless of whether I achieved, and once I found that sincerity and value in myself, others could no longer steal my confidence or esteem no matter what, and that has been the driving force behind my resilience and persistence and ability not to give up and to continue moving forward, even in sometimes challenging circumstances.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I teach people how to develop their intuition. Most people think that intuition is something that is inborn, and whether it works effectively or not, is just by happenstance. They never think about the reality that it is something that you can develop and that the accuracy and the power of your intuition can grow, and so I lend my experience to reconnect people with their intuitive power that goes to the heart of their ability to live in alignment with their purpose, and create the outcomes in all areas of their lives that they truly desire. I recently curated an automated course to develop intuition. All of the tools and wisdom that’s I’ve been teaching for the last 7 years were poured into the development of this program and I am very proud of it. This course means that anybody can develop their intuition at their own pace, in their own time, anywhere in the world. As well, Love Heals, a documentary detailing much of what I do in community with others will be available on Gaia and PBS stations beginning this month.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Looking back, the qualities that I think were most influential and impactful in my journey was, number one, the fact that I trained my body. From a young age, I was always athletic. I was a track athlete, and then eventually became a  professional dancer and well practiced at QIgong. It wasn’t so much about the success as an athlete or dancer what I got from moving my body. It was the ability to focus because my brain and my body became staunchly connected and so in a sense I gained mastery to be able to direct my thoughts into the physical form, and that became directly correlated with my ability to manifest. The second thing is that I follow my intuition, no matter what, so a lot of where I am today is because I followed my intuition 15 years ago even when I didn’t fully understand why I was getting the hits or being asked to go in a certain direction. I would do it anyways and I have no regrets as a result, I can see, even if it took me time, exactly why I was being guided in those particular directions, and if I hadn’t followed right along because I didn’t understand the outcome at the time that would become a limitation on my path. I do not think I would be where I am today, so I follow my intuition, no matter what, no matter how crazy the choice seems. The third thing is being very intentional about my choices. Early in my life just like anyone, I would get dragged in different directions and influenced by people. But now, I really sit down with myself on a very regular basis and ask myself what do I want to examine my desires, and I’m very intentional about where I put my energy and what kind of experience I want to have in my life. As I’m honing in my focus my manifestations simply continue to get more precise and stronger.

Who is your ideal client or what sort of characteristics would make someone an ideal client for you?
The most ideal client for me typically is somebody who is at a crossroads in their life, meaning they’re ready for a change, and they’re ready for a life that allows them to have more freedom and alignment. Typically I find when people are at a crossroads in their life they’re searching for their purpose. They’re finally reflecting on things that have happened in their whole life and they’re looking to make changes or maybe they’ve tried to make changes but failed and they’re realizing they need another way.
