Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Zephaniah Jones. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Zephaniah , appreciate you making time for us and sharing your wisdom with the community. So many of us go through similar pain points throughout our journeys and so hearing about how others overcame obstacles can be helpful. One of those struggles is keeping creativity alive despite all the stresses, challenges and problems we might be dealing with. How do you keep your creativity alive?
Creativity is in everything we encounter so I look to God and thank him for the ability to be alive and enjoy the wonders of life. There are so many experiences to draw creativity from and the most important thing for me is to be open to and actually take part in the experiences.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
Think All Be All is a Creative Arts Incubator with the Vision and Mission of providing resources and creating opportunities for Creatives of all types. We’re glad you made it here and look forward to creating with and for you!
As this 2023 year comes to an end we have a host of new opportunities and partnerships available to the community! There are classes like the “Intro to Creativity and Music” that will be taught at the Learning Arts Center at the Armory in Montgomery, AL. alongside a host of other classes. These classes are also a pathway to the reappearance of our community jam sessions called Live Art Fridays.
In an article with VoyageATL I showcase more about Live Art Fridays and how it builds the active community that we want to be a part of as artists. Networking with creatives and being featured in Bold Journey is a huge step towards the success path that’s possible! So let’s connect:
Connect and follow us, check out our website, and patronize with us! I’ve released a book called The Challenge that talks about motivation and eliminating the hard parts of starting your journey, created resources for creative classes, and will soon be releasing video content to bring all the resources together!
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Communication/Listening
Planning/Doing
Assessing/Reflecting
with these areas in mind, we can cover a baseline of what it takes to accomplish the goals we want to achieve. Many times we find that starting something new or pushing through the tough spots on the journey can be solved by one of these factors.
I believe the best way to develop these skills is to just do more of them. Spend more time in the area of your interest committing to focus on these skill sets and after some time you progress to noticeable comfort in the skill set.
Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?
The most helpful person has been God and the ability to trust his portions for me. If there is something I don’t understand I know that asking Him for help through prayer will always lead me to the resource to solve the problem at hand. I have overcome physical pain, emotional damage, and much more because I trust, study, and aim to be a representation of what God can do in our lives. I say this to say that trust in someone who knows more and can help guide you has expedited learning skills and access to resources that you don’t have.
