We’re looking forward to introducing you to Ohimai Ahonkhai. Check out our conversation below.
Hi Ohimai, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
Integrity is the lens of your character.
I believe is it the driving source of one’s personality. Integrity is the most important tool that creates the window into one’s heart and soul for others to see.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
God has gifted me in places where my passion was manifested from a young age. What I believed was nurtured by mere talent and hard work, is actually a calling on my life; Music Ministry.

For the past 5 years, @voicesoftriumph has been an instrument of worship for me.
A vessel of passion to lead by the rhythm of my heartbeat.
An opportunity to show the love of Jesus to the world through ministry.
•
Directing this amazing and talented group for over four years has been full of blessings;
But to also witness growth within trials definitely taught me some valuable lessons.
One of the things our Manager/Mentor, @Glen Browne has always taught and shown me,
is to not only sing, but live the change we want to see.

I am honored to be highlighted by @voyagestl!🙏🏿
There will be more to my story!
Okay, so here’s a deep one: What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
One of my earliest memories of feeling powerful was my first time participating in literature evangelism. During that time in my life, I relied on my personality, being an extrovert, to influence positively and retain financial support while doing ministry. Anyone who has done literature evangelism before can attest to the level of difficulty and emotional uncertainty that comes with it. Once I learned how to reply on Jesus and not my own abilities, I not felt better but was spiritually strengthened for the work. I went from trying to change people in my own power, to being changed through the work of ministry.
What fear has held you back the most in your life?
The fear of disappointing those I love and loosing the validation I thought I needed to be successful in life.
The fear of failure.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Where are smart people getting it totally wrong today?
The mindset that what we have the privilege obtained power to tangibly create in this world is eternal.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. When do you feel most at peace?
When I am confidently and steadily using my gifts and talents to fulfill my God-given purpose.
