We recently had the chance to connect with Paige Danner and have shared our conversation below.
Paige, a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
I think energy is probably more important than intelligence or integrity. You really need energy to make moves in your life. However, integrity and intelligence are also extremely important.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m a country music artist. from Montana. I love to entertain people. Currently, I’m headed to Montana from Arizona to get out of the heat and perform with my fiancé Jared Blackstone. Jared is an amazing artist himself and a great guitar player, singer and songwriter. I’m so grateful for his talents and that we found each other and can make music together. I have performed in Montana before but this will be the most shows I’ve ever done in my hometown. I’m excited for the summer.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who taught you the most about work?
My dad taught me the most about work. He always worked very hard. He was a logger with nine children and always made sure we had a roof over our head and food on the table. He also taught me that you also need to take time to enjoy your life too. Something I’m don’t think he did enough of.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering taught me that God never gives you anything you can’t handle. If everything was easy you wouldn’t appreciate the successes and good things that come your way. Success is in your heart. The little things are what make you happy in the end.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Is the public version of you the real you?
The public version of me is the real me. Anyone who knows me knows that I’m always genuine and a real person. Don’t ask me a question you don’t want the real answer to.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
When I’m gone I hope the story that’s told about me is a happy story. I hope that my story will be an example of following your dreams and resilience. Most of all, I hope they will remember me as someone who was kind and always made them laugh.
