Parissa Chubak of Los Angeles on Life, Lessons & Legacy

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Parissa Chubak. Check out our conversation below.

Good morning Parissa, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
I above all believe in integrity. Integrity in any situation will help you make the right decisions and act accordingly. Integrity is the base of success

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am a multi cultural linguist with an endlessly funky soul who’s danced through cities from Tehran to Paris, collecting stories and stones along the way. Fluent in four languages and fluent in style, I try to craft jewelry that speaks to the everyday magic in all of us. I want my designs bold yet wearable, playful yet classy—think hammered brass with a whisper of turquoise, or recycled silver shaped like a sunrise. Whether it’s a bracelet or a necklace, I believe adornment should be democratic: for every body, every mood, every moment and every budget.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who taught you the most about work?
My parents ethics, integrity and hard work thought me early on that in order to succeed in any task, one needs to show up and put up. Hard work will result in success

What fear has held you back the most in your life?
The fear of failure has been a real challenge for me. I faced early in my life challenges that were outside my control. The only way to overcome them was to succeed and failure was not an option. I have a hard time thinking I would fail therefore I have been less bold at times and that has been a self limitation.

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends know that kindness, empathy and love in a person are most important to me.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
I would stop wasting my time being afraid of the unknown. I would travel more and try to help people around me more and more
