Self-care is so important! I’ve found that it goes far beyond treating/ rewarding myself. For me, it starts with getting enough sleep! When I can, my very long morning routine helps set me up for a productive day (sunlight before screenlight, guayusa tea, wim hof breathwork, a quick yoga session, maybe a quick run, and hopefully a few minutes of guitar). It sounds cheesy but prioritizing my health first in the day instead of rolling out of bed and rushing to work makes a big difference. Read more>>

Self-care has become a non-negotiable part of my life, especially when it comes to maintaining my mental health. Every other Wednesday, I prioritize therapy sessions, and I schedule the entire day off work to ensure I have space to process, reflect, and engage in silent introspection. On therapy days, I also incorporate a physical element, whether it’s hiking, yoga, or even a massage. This intentional time away from work helps me recharge and reset. Read more>>

The Lord called me to write a book, Butterfly Stitches which is launching in November, about my story. It contains abuse and healing. He taught me that the healing begins at the point of the wound. I have learned how to further that process in every area: emotional, spiritual, mental and physical. I listen to what He has to say on the subject and also take the critical thinking skills he gave me to draw from everything I have been through – both wounds and healing – to work through whatever I may be going through currently. Self-care has become such a vital part of my life, especially since my divorce back in 2020. Looking back, I didn’t realize how much stress was affecting my health—I had a laundry list of medical issues and was reliant on prescription medications. After my divorce, I decided to take my healing into my own hands. During the covid lock down, I made it a point to reconnect with nature. Every day, my daughter and our two dogs would head out to explore the local trails, and those moments in the great outdoors truly transformed me. Read more>>

Recently I have really been diving into my spirituality. Running a business and being a first time mom has its stressful challenges so I find when I can quiet my mind and sit in my quiet, ideas and creativity flow to me all while releasing the stresses of the day. I mediate almost nightly before bed and I journal a lot which really helps me fill my cup so I can be more effective in my career and home life. Read more>>

Every morning, I meditate for 15 minutes. I also exercise daily, and take my dog on walks without my cell phone. I’ve often said that, as an entrepreneur, every mistake I’ve ever made, I made because I was “moving too fast.” A voice whispered to me “don’t do this” or “do this,” and I ignored it, because I felt a false sense of urgency, a need to just move onto the next thing. And so I find that slowing down is integral, not only for my well-being, but for the well-being of the business. It’s in the space that I am able to be creative, and stay in touch with my intuition.
