Radine Dempsey’s Stories, Lessons & Insights

We recently had the chance to connect with Radine Dempsey and have shared our conversation below.

Radine, a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: When was the last time you felt true joy?
True Joy~

I am living my best life with two angel babies and everyday is packed full of joy! Abundance is how I live with everything in my life! It only makes sense that it carries on with the tiny angels that love me more than well—Mac and Cheese.

My heart is full as I live with an abundance of joy!

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Radine Dempsey. What I am known most for is my desire for perfection as a pro hairstylist/makeup artist which ultimately took me to a level of mastery that I never could have imagined. Some journeys take an unexpected turn, leading us somewhere we never imagined—yet somehow, exactly where we belong.

My journey as a designer began in the world of hair. After 4 plus decades as a hairstylist, I became frustrated with the lack of beautiful, high-quality bridal accessories. The market was flooded with cheap, hard-to-work-with pieces that did nothing to enhance a bride’s beauty. I knew they deserved better—so I swooped in hoping to elevate the experience for brides.

I began designing bespoke bridal hairpieces, crafting delicate, ethereal adornments that made brides feel like royalty on their most special day. But in 2020, as the world shifted, so did my path.

The art of jewelry-making found me when I needed it most, offering me an escape, a new creative outlet, and a way to channel my passion for timeless elegance. As I worked with pearls, something stirred deep within me—a connection to the past, to my mother, to the woman I have become.

My mother, who passed in 2023, had a love affair with pearls. Living in Hawaii, she would visit street vendors at every opportunity, choosing an oyster, watching in wonder as the shell was pried open to reveal its hidden treasure. Pearls brought her pure, unfiltered joy—and I had forgotten about that until I found myself drawn to them in my own work. It was as if, on the day she left this world, she quietly took residence within me.

And so, Rae Lyneé Designs was born.

Every piece I create is infused with story, emotion, and the beauty of discovery—just like those pearls my mother loved so much. My jewelry is more than an accessory; it is a reminder of strength, elegance, and the magic of transformation. Whether you’re a bride stepping into forever or a dreamer embracing your own light, these designs are made for you.

Welcome to my world. Welcome to Rae Lyneé Designs

Rae Lyneé Designs is more than a jewelry line—it is an invitation. An invitation to step into your own magic, to adorn your inner mermaid, and to carry a piece of beauty and meaning with you always.

I am Radine.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
Well—my earliest memory was when I would bat my eyes at my dad and get anything I wanted but that probably doesn’t count- teehee, winky winky.

From my earliest days as a stylist I found great respect in what I did. Every client I saw had a reaction to their experience in my chair. It wasn’t only the result of their hair but how they felt after our conversation. I had the power to make people feel good, to change their day and how they felt about themselves, To this day my professional reviews almost always mention how incredible I make each person feel. I carry that over with me in everything I do. Even with Rae Lynee Designs I infuse them with every bit of love I have and my pieces truly make you feel good.

Everything I do is from my heart with love, within that lies positive power.

Is there something you miss that no one else knows about?
I haven’t had many struggles. Truly, I’ve lived a charmed life—beginning with where I was born and the family I was born into. I’m from Boulder, Colorado, and if you know it, you probably agree it’s a special place. Nestled at the base of the Rocky Mountains, home of the University of Colorado, it’s a progressive academic community that feels like a bubble of fun and possibility.

When I was growing up, Boulder didn’t yet have the influx of wealth it knows today. My family were farmers and blue-collar builders, and life was simple but full. With such an incredible backdrop, what could I possibly wish for?

Children. That’s the one thing I miss. I was never able to have them, long before the options available today. It’s a quiet absence, but one that lingers. Still, perhaps that longing is what fuels my instinct to nurture—why I pour myself into friendships and build a vast, chosen family of people I love. And why my desire to create abundance and beauty within my world runs so deep.

While I don’t count little faces around my own table, I count each smiling face in my life as a blessing. And I think that’s a different kind of fullness.

A richness beyond financial gain!

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
Relationships. Once you come into my life, I never let you go. My late husband used to tease, “She has 200 best friends—the rest are just friends.” He wasn’t far off.

For me, connection is everything.
I will walk through burning coals for those that I care for and my friends know that—I am always one little message away. What is life without relationships?

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. If you retired tomorrow, what would your customers miss most?
My commitment to perfection. As an artist with a technical background, I’ve always blended creativity with precision. When I retired from behind the chair in 2022, my clients made it clear how much they missed not just my skills, but also my ability to listen, my intuition, and my dedication to being the very best through constant education.

They miss the artistry—the way I could combine technical knowledge with creativity to achieve flawless, personalized color and haircuts. More than anything, they knew how much I cared about their final result as I involved them in the process, continually checking in to make sure I was on task. They miss the care from the moment they arrived to the hug, “until next time.” I miss each and every one of them as well!

While many were sad to see me step away, they’ve embraced the next chapter of my journey. Today, they continue to support me wholeheartedly in Bridal by Radine and Rae Lyneé Designs, where my passion for intricate, beautiful hairpieces and gorgeous jewelry carries forward the same artistry and devotion.
