We recently had the chance to connect with Ramona Edie and have shared our conversation below.
Ramona, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What is a normal day like for you right now?
A normal day for me right now starts early. I wake up, meditate, and make my morning matcha drink before heading to the gym. Once I finish my workout, I begin my workday.
My schedule changes depending on whether I’m on set or working from home. On the days I’m shooting, I usually spend around eight hours on set, between glam, fittings, filming, and photos. On the days I’m home, I focus on all the behind-the-scenes work: reviewing castings, planning content, handling brand collaborations, managing my business, and organizing everything for upcoming shoots. Every day looks a little different, but it’s always full, productive, and focused on growth.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Ramona Edie, and I’m an Italian fashion model based in New York City. Over the years I’ve worked with international brands and publications including Vogue Italia, GQ Italia, Dolce & Gabbana Beauty, L’Oréal, Zimmermann, DKNY, Swarovski, and Intimissimi. My career has taken me across major fashion capitals, from London to Paris, and now New York, where I continue to expand my work in editorial, beauty, lifestyle, and e-commerce modeling.
I love sharing behind-the-scenes moments, beauty routines, and the real life of a model with my online community across Instagram and TikTok.
What makes my path unique is how I blend the worlds of fashion, business, and digital storytelling. I’m constantly building, growing, and challenging myself, and I hope my journey inspires others to fearlessly create their own lane.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
Before the world told me who I had to be, I was a dreamer. I’ve always lived with a vivid imagination and a strong belief that you can create anything you desire if you’re willing to work for it. Even as a child, I spent my days dreaming about the life I wanted, and then doing whatever I could to get one step closer to it.
That part of me never changed. I still dream every day, and I still believe that your dreams are the blueprint for the life you’re meant to build. You dream first, and then you work hard, stay consistent, and turn those dreams into reality.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering taught me realities that success never could. I know what it feels like to save money by not turning on the heat, to make sacrifices that most people never see. Those moments taught me discipline, not just with money, but with my entire life.
They showed me the value of choosing what truly matters and letting go of what doesn’t. When you have to sacrifice, you learn how strong you can be, how resourceful you are, and how much you can carry when you refuse to give up. Success feels good, but struggle shapes your character. It taught me resilience, gratitude, and the ability to build a better life from the ground up.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Is the public version of you the real you?
The public version of me is real, but it’s only a part of who I am. I’m naturally generous and kind with the people around me, and that comes through in my public life. But what I’m learning now is how to keep that kindness without allowing people to use me.
The real me is someone who cares deeply, but who is also learning boundaries. So yes, the public version is me, but the private version is stronger, wiser, and growing every day.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What are you doing today that won’t pay off for 7–10 years?
What I’m doing today that won’t pay off for 7–10 years is investing in my future through small, intentional decisions. I think long-term, and I’m always shaping the person I want to become. Every habit, every choice, every bit of discipline is a seed I’m planting for the life I’ll live years from now.
I’m very positive about my future, it always ends up better than what I imagined, because I don’t limit myself. I believe in growth, in possibility, and in building a version of myself that my future self will thank me for.
