Rebekah Laur’en’s Stories, Lessons & Insights

Rebekah Laur’en shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Good morning Rebekah, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
The first 90 minutes of my day are sacred. It’s my grounding ritual before the world starts moving. I begin with deep breathing and meditation to center myself, followed by chanting to raise my vibration and set my intentions. I usually spend a few minutes journaling, letting my thoughts and gratitude flow and then move my body through exercise to activate my energy. Once I feel aligned, I head straight into writing or recording music while that clarity and inspiration are fresh.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Rebekah Laur’en a singer, songwriter, producer, and composer. My artistry is all about merging emotion with innovation. I create music that not only sounds good but feels transformative. Every song I write is rooted in self-evolution, healing, and empowerment, because I truly believe music has the power to shift energy and awaken something deeper in people.

My sound blends soulful storytelling with futuristic production, think high-vibe frequencies, cinematic textures, and unapologetic emotion. Beyond music, I’m also building ventures that reflect my creative spirit from visionary visuals and fashion to film and cultural projects that merge art and purpose. Right now, I’m focused on expanding my sound globally, developing new releases like Siren and Elevate, and continuing to build a brand that inspires authenticity, self-worth, and freedom.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What part of you has served its purpose and must now be released?
The part of me that I’ve had to release is the version that needed to overprove herself the perfectionist who thought everything had to be flawless before it was worthy of being seen. That mindset once pushed me to excellence, but it also drained the joy out of the process. I’ve learned that true artistry flows when you surrender control and trust your evolution.

Now, I’m more focused on alignment than perfection. I’ve released the fear of being misunderstood and embraced the freedom of being fully expressed flaws, growth, and all. That old version of me served her purpose she built the foundation but this new chapter is about peace, authenticity, and divine flow.

What fear has held you back the most in your life?
The fear that held me back the most was the fear of being too much. Too expressive, too emotional, too different, too powerful. I used to shrink myself to make others comfortable whether it was in my art, my ideas, or even my presence. But the truth is, that fear was never protection; it was a cage.

I had to realize that my “too much” was actually my magic it’s the very thing that makes my art, my vision, and my voice unique. Once I started embracing that fully, everything started to align – opportunities, confidence, and peace. Now I remind myself daily: I’m not here to fit in, I’m here to stand out.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
One of the biggest lies the music industry tells itself is that artists need to follow a certain formula to be successful, that you have to look, sound, or act a certain way to “make it.” That mindset kills creativity and authenticity. Real artistry isn’t about fitting into a box; it’s about breaking it open.

Another lie is that independence equals limitation. In reality, being independent has given me freedom, freedom to own my masters, tell my own story, and build a brand rooted in purpose, not pressure. The industry often forgets that innovation comes from the fringes, from the artists who dare to move differently.

And one of the most misleading beliefs is that creativity has an age limit, it doesn’t. True artistry evolves, matures, and expands as you do. Music isn’t about age; it’s about alignment, energy, and impact.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace when I’m creating, when I’m deep in that flow where time doesn’t exist. Whether I’m writing lyrics, building harmonies, composing an instrumental, or recording vocals, it becomes a form of meditation for me. It’s the space where my spirit, emotions, and imagination all align.

I also find peace in stillness during my morning meditations, deep breaths, or moments of solitude. That’s when I reconnect with myself and remember why I do what I do. Peace for me isn’t just quiet it’s alignment. It’s when my soul feels at home in what I’m doing and who I’m becoming.
