Reese Boudreau’s Stories, Lessons & Insights

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Reese Boudreau. Check out our conversation below.

Reese, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Morning walks have truly been brightening my day right from the start, as well as learning so much about my love for floral design recently!

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Reese and I’m the owner of Maisyn Creations! Maisyn Creations is my small business, where I sell glassware and other items with vinyl designs! I put a huge amount of effort into the quality of not only my products, but also my businesses impact! I started my business at the age of 14, as of October, 2022. I have had a big passion of being an entrepreneur since a very young age. You would always see me trying to start silly businesses. Selling things like rocks and leaves from my front yard when I was 4. At the age of 10, I began selling homemade dog treats to my friends, family, and other people in the neighborhood. But once I started Maisyn Creations near the end of 2022, I knew this was what I wanted to be committed to, and that this was just the beginning. Since starting Maisyn Creations, I have learned many new things, gained many new great relationships, made many mistakes, and I’m still continuing to do all of these things! I am so happy that I have been able to have this opportunity in my life and I can’t wait to continue!

Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who taught you the most about work?
I believe that my dad, Jeff taught me to have a good work ethic and the importance of effort as well as mistakes. My dad not only taught me this for who I’m working for, but also for myself to succeed and to feel proud, capable, and accomplished in everything that I do. Not only within the work space, but having purpose in everything that I do!

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
Don’t be embarrassed to share your business and your hard work. Middle and high school don’t last forever, and who knows maybe they’ll end up working for YOU one day because of putting yourself out there!

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Is the public version of you the real you?
I think both yes and no! On social media, I try to be “out there” and myself, but in person I’m quite shy and quiet until you get to know me!! I’ve learned to be as real and honest to who I am as much as my comfort allows!

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. Could you give everything your best, even if no one ever praised you for it?
100%. I give everything my best for my own joy, mindset, and sense of purpose. Yes, it’s nice to be praised, but that can never be what drives you to do your best in things or else that to me reduces the point in doing so!
