Rhonda Botros shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Good morning Rhonda, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Spending summer days on the river with my close friends really brings me joy—whether it’s floating, kayaking, or just swimming. I love being outdoors and on the water; it’s the perfect way to recharge and enjoy simple moments.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi! I’m Rhonda, the founder of InBliss Travel Co. and InBliss Collection. I created InBliss to connect people through meaningful experiences—whether that’s exploring the world on one of my curated group trips or discovering handmade, globally inspired clothing at my booth in Nashville or online.
I’ve traveled to over 25 countries, lived in 15, and built strong relationships with artisans around the world. Every item I sell—from upcycled sari skirts to silk dresses and embroidered wraps—is made in collaboration with locals I’ve met through my travels. What makes it all so special is the heart behind it—everything I do is about connection, culture, and supporting people who are passionate about their craft.
Right now, I’m leading exclusive group trips where people not only see beautiful destinations but also give back and connect with the local communities. And I’m looking to expand my apparel line into boutiques and studios across the U.S.—bringing wearable stories to more people.
My goal is simple: to create a life and brand rooted in joy, authenticity, and global connection.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who taught you the most about work?
My parents taught me the most about work. They left everything behind in their home country to start a new life and raise a family in the U.S., building everything from the ground up. Their resilience, determination, and work ethic shaped the way I approach everything I do—they showed me that nothing is handed to you, but with enough heart and hustle, you can create the life you dream of.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering taught me presence, resilience, and perspective. It showed me how to sit with discomfort, trust my intuition, and find strength even when things felt uncertain or unfair. While success feels great, it’s in the hard moments that I truly learned who I am, what I value, and how deeply I care about living with purpose and creating meaningful connections.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes—the public version of me is absolutely the real me. Authenticity has been the foundation of everything I do. It’s what’s helped me align with who I am and build businesses that speak to people who resonate with my story. I show up as myself, and that honesty is what creates real connection.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope people say that I connected others across the world in a way that fostered deeper understanding, empathy, and unity. That through travel, storytelling, and shared experiences, I helped remind people that at the core—we’re all the same. We all seek love, belonging, joy, clean water, nourishing food, and connection. I want to be remembered for building bridges, not walls.
