My ability to take risks likely developed through a combination of personal experiences, upbringing, and a mindset shaped by your aspirations and values like :
Family Influence:Growing up with my grandparents, who emphasized education and resilience, taught me to step out of my comfort zone. Their wisdom and encouragement to aim high built a strong foundation for calculated risk-taking. My mom, being my motivation and significant figure, has likely inspired me to be courageous in pursuing my dreams.
From switching from IT to business administration and venturing into luxury sales, I’ve demonstrated a willingness to adapt and take chances to align with my passions. These transitions required me to trust my instincts and embrace uncertainty. Read more>>

I think I’m just constantly aware of the fact that I’m gonna die one day. Things definitely scare me and I definitely get anxious, but I know that I want a lot of things in this life that require me to push myself beyond where most people want to go. Being a first-generation American, I am also aware that there are so many opportunities around me that I have the privilege of acting on. I also wholeheartedly know and believe that I am blessed and loved. Read more>>

My ability to take risks began with the nagging thought that I had to open a children’s art studio. That quickly became my mission and I dreamt about it nonstop. Two years ago I was teaching fifth grade. I had a consistent work schedule, a steady income, and adoring feedback from my students. That made the risk of changing careers and opening my own business feel even riskier. Whenever the thoughts of this imaginary art studio filled my mind, I quickly battled them with every reason against it, but none of these excuses could withstand the strength of my dream. Read more>>

After growing up in Leeds England at the age of 22 I got on a plane for the USA (Minneapolis) with about $200 and a suitcase full of records. I had a dream of making a living as a musician and I’d met an American girl while attending Lancaster at University so I went to stay with her. I had been inspired as a child by great explorers and their tales of courage and endurance and I wanted a little adventure myself. I was jumping into the unknown and it actually proved to be fairly simple. I got a job, started playing music on the weekends and 8 years later I figured I would throw caution to the wind, quit my job, sell most of my things except my guitar and some clothes and relocate to Santa Fe New Mexico. I intended to make a living solely from music. That was 30 years ago and I’ve had an amazing life living only from my activities as a musician. Read more>>

I think when it comes to starting your own business you must be able to take risks. There is just no other way to become successful without taking chances. That being said, I am actually not known as a risk taker. I think my veteran husband helped me overcome this. I have always loved motorcycles, and he was able to get me riding on my own. I did not think it was a huge risk, but there are a lot of people that would not ride a motorcycle. I started doing other things that may be risky, but turned out great. I don’t take crazy risks. I feel you must think over every decision and make the best choices, but they will always have risks. Read more>>
