Sarah Ausby of Upstate New York on Life, Lessons & Legacy

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Sarah Ausby. Check out our conversation below.

Sarah , a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: Have any recent moments made you laugh or feel proud?
Absolutely. One of my proudest—and most joy-filled—moments this year has been producing and watching the Voices On Paper Multi-City Historic Book Tour come to life. Standing in each city, seeing authors from different backgrounds step up, share their work, and connect with audiences in such authentic ways has brought me so much pride.

Voices On Paper isn’t just a tour; it’s a movement. And witnessing that energy grow across multiple cities has been one of the most meaningful and fulfilling highlights of my year.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Sarah Ausby, and I am a Mindset Transformation Coach, Trainer, and Speaker, as well as the founder of S.A.V.I—Sarah Ausby Ventures Inc. Everything I do is grounded in one core truth: If you transform your mindset, you will change your life.
Through S.A.V.I, I help individuals, teams, and organizations break limiting beliefs, strengthen emotional and leadership skills, and step into clarity, purpose, and confidence. My work is anchored in my signature T.E.A. Method—Truth, Evidence, and Action—which allows people to shift not only how they think but how they live. What makes S.A.V.I unique is that I don’t just teach transformation—I create experiences that help people feel seen, heard, supported, and empowered to rise.
I also speak nationally on mindset transformation and leadership, and I’m incredibly proud of the impact we’ve created this year. One highlight is my book, Spiritual Equations, which recently hit #1 in three categories and officially expanded into a fifth country—Australia, adding to its presence in the U.S., U.K., Germany, and India. Watching a message rooted in mindset, faith, and practical wisdom reach readers around the world has been humbling and deeply rewarding.
Another major part of my work right now is the Voices On Paper Multi-City Book Tour, a powerful platform designed to spotlight authors, elevate diverse voices, and build creative community across the country. The tour is still in full swing and will continue through Spring 2026. Our next stop is Charlotte on January 24, 2026, and each city brings new energy, new stories, and new moments of impact.
Right now, I’m focused on expanding S.A.V.I’s coaching and training reach, building strong partnerships, and continuing to create platforms—like Voices On Paper—that uplift stories, shift mindsets, and inspire people to rebuild, renew, and rise. My journey is rooted in purpose and possibility, and I’m grateful for every door opening along the way.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
The relationship that most shaped how I see myself begins with my relationship with God. It is through God that I learned I am fearfully and wonderfully made, that my voice carries purpose, and that I am far more powerful and impactful than I ever imagined. My identity, confidence, and calling are all rooted in the way God sees me, and that truth continues to shape every part of my life and work.

The second relationship that deeply influenced how I view myself is the one I shared with my late husband, Donald. He treated me like royalty—gently, consistently, and intentionally. He supported me as I found my way back to God and stood by every business venture I touched, mentally, emotionally, financially, and spiritually. His belief in me helped me believe in myself on an entirely different level.

I was truly blessed to be his wife, and both of these relationships—divine and personal—have shaped the woman I am today: grounded, purposeful, and committed to walking in the fullness of who God created me to be.

When did you last change your mind about something important?
Recently, I had to change my mind about something very important—who I allowed in my inner circle. I realized that not everyone connected to me was truly aligned with me. There were moments of deception and disappointment, but instead of letting that break me, I chose to let God open my eyes to the truth. He allowed certain things to unfold so I could release people I otherwise might have held onto.

It wasn’t easy, but it was necessary. I made a conscious decision to follow the direction God is leading me in—and that path requires clarity, protection, and discernment. I now understand that everyone can’t go where God is taking me, and that’s okay. I genuinely pray they find success in what they’re doing, but I’m committed to moving forward in purpose, peace, and obedience.

Changing my mind about those relationships was a turning point, and it has strengthened both my focus and my faith.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Whom do you admire for their character, not their power?
I deeply admire ArDenay Garner—not because of any position or power she holds, but because of her character. She is one of the most authentic, genuine, and compassionate women I have met. ArDenay played a significant role in my life by nurturing me as I stepped into becoming an international bestselling author for the very first time through her STAND UP Anthology movement.
What stands out most about her is her heart. She leads with integrity, kindness, and a true desire to see others shine. Her support wasn’t just professional; it was personal, uplifting, and rooted in real sisterhood.
Today, I’m grateful not only for her guidance but for the privilege of calling her my friend.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope people tell the story of how I lost everything—and still rose.
How the odds were stacked against me through homelessness, mental illness, physical illness, and more, yet I held onto my faith in God and allowed Him to guide me into transforming my mindset (Romans 12:2). That shift changed my entire life.
I want people to remember that I didn’t quit. I want them to say that I rebuilt my life from the ground up, that I went from having nothing to owning multiple businesses, and that I walked boldly in purpose even when the process was painful.
Before I leave this earth, I will own 30 acres of land named S.A.V.I Farms & Estate, and I want that to be part of my legacy too—proof that God can restore, elevate, and multiply what was once broken.
The story I want them to tell is simple:
My downfall may have amused some, but my comeback confused them.
And through it all, I never stopped believing in what God placed inside me.
