Scribbles Who on Life, Lessons & Legacy

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Scribbles Who. Check out our conversation below.

Scribbles, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What is a normal day like for you right now?
In this chapter, I don’t have normal days. One day I’m shooting a music video, the next day I’m decorating like a little house wife, the next day I am on the other side of the world. It’s a blessing only the wild ones want.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m a song writer. In a perfect world, I would be paired with people that call themselves singers or entertainers; but the world is not perfect. So here I am, the message and messenger. I’m a R&B recording artist from South Florida and currently based in New York. I make the songs other people do not make and its therapeutic for me. I love when everybody wins.

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who taught you the most about work?
The work itself. Experience will always be the greatest teacher because even if the lesson is lost; you will be more ready to learn.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
I have given up creating music at least 12 times. We’ll see what happens this 13th time. This might be the lucky one.

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Whom do you admire for their character, not their power?
I love Erykah Badu. Everything about her is other and beautiful. I want to be as free as she is.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. When do you feel most at peace?
I love writing songs. I am an over thinker and the act of writing is a thoughtless action. I enter a deep state of flow and the songs write themselves when the energy is good. That is the high I chase then must release. I may tweak the song a little later but the magic is already out the bottle. I have meditated.
