Shaudy Prince of Uptown Disgusta Georgia on Life, Lessons & Legacy

Shaudy Prince shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Good morning Shaudy, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What do you think is misunderstood about your business?
A lot has misunderstood how much it’s grown, and how much success it has brought me which isn’t just monetary. There are people I haven’t talked to in decades who see my material and think they can message me who feel we can just pick up from where we left off yet I am in a whole other frequency & a whole other mindset now!
I am locked in. I am not the same person you knew from wayback when, and I know it’s because I’m not all loud with my increase nor raising the expenses of my lifestyle to prove I have elevated…I’m pouring it all back into Hood Royalty!

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Shaudy Prince, the Creative Director, and Innovator of Hood Royalty Entertainment…a production company being laid as the solid foundation for building one of the world’s greatest, and everlasting mass multimedia power houses!

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
I believed that I was an outcast more so a reject. As I’ve grown I realized that everything that may have made me different…everything about my personality was what was going to catapult me into my brightest future!
That was my true authentic self. Despite what the world teaches…being unapologetically you is what stands out amongst everybody else.
Most people want to be like everyone else so they’re going to do whatever it takes to fit in. They’ll stay average to be accepted. Funny how that works huh? Well they can stay ordinary I’d rather be extra ordinary!

What have been the defining wounds of your life—and how have you healed them?
Definitely family hurt! You would expect the world to cross you, turn against you, and talk down on you…but when it’s your own so-called “flesh and blood” it’s a different kind of betrayal you have to get over. I know it may sound cliché, but meditation helped me heal from it all because it forces you to sit in silence and face whatever thoughts/demons that you may have buried deep down inside that were lingering along with the trauma you may have held in every since you was a kid. The goal is for the mature you to be the nurturer for the inner child you that may have never got that proper love/care you deserved, but may have didn’t get when you was growing up.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Is the public version of you the real you?
What’s so funny is the person I portray to be on the Internet is the real me, but the person I portray to be in public isn’t really who I am in totality. I’m very well mannered, speak properly, and I treat everybody with common decency and respect. Yet there’s a dark side of me that I display more on social media. That’s why my brand revolves around the phrase Hood Royalty…you get the bad and the good, the Ying and the Yang so to speak.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What do you think people will most misunderstand about your legacy?
Pretty much what the majority of everybody misconstrues when it comes to your come up. People are going to think it was luck, it was an overnight success, and how did somebody who stood right next to them make it and they didn’t? Which means that there was never an excuse they just didn’t want it as bad!
Which will probably lead to lies being told about me like I came from money, or joined a secret society to get to the top. Typical bot brain thinking.
