Shawn , a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What makes you lose track of time—and find yourself again?
Wondering around in book stores.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hello my name is Shawn Ahkeah. I’m an American Indian artist from the Dine’ (Navajo) tribe. I’m from the Four Corners area of Cortez, Colorado & Shiprock, New Mexico. My interest in creating art began in early childhood when my mother would supply me with art supplies such as pencils and crayons. I’m a self-taught artist. My main mediums are acrylics, charcoal, and graphite although I’m also interested in exploring and utilizing other media in my works.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
Time & communication.

What fear has held you back the most in your life?
The fear of not finishing.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What do you believe is true but cannot prove?
The Earth is Flat.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: When do you feel most at peace?
When I’m painting to music.
