SIA Clyde of Destin Florida on Life, Lessons & Legacy

We recently had the chance to connect with SIA Clyde and have shared our conversation below.

SIA, a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
The first 90 minutes of my day changes week to week because half of the time, I have three kids and the other half, I have just one. My two older kids’ father and I split custody so I have them every other week. On the weeks I have all 3, I get up pretty early to get them all ready for school but first I like to make my initial cup of coffee and get my emails done. Then I make breakfast and ensure everyone is ready to go. My husband then takes my elder children to school while I watch my infant. On the weeks where I just have my baby, I will wake up a little later, but still start my day the same way-coffee and emails. I like to also set an intention for the day and ask myself what the goal is to accomplish. Sometimes he wakes up because he senses I am awake and so my husband, who stays home also, will help me with him.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am a wife and mother of three juggling family and running a brand that I created from the ground up. I am a personal trainer and fitness influencer who began my career by blogging. I have multiple guides as well as my fitness app for my mostly female audience. I am working on expanding my app with a new program this year. My husband and I are also planning on growing our family in 2026

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who taught you the most about work?
To be transparent, I did. I have no marketing or business degree and I am 100% self taught by using good ole Google and internet research. Nobody in my family had a business or anything like that so its weird how it all came to be. I enjoy being my own boss and I strive to always keep learning my audience and the algorithm so I can keep growing and reaching more potential clients

What have been the defining wounds of your life—and how have you healed them?
My wounds stemmed from my childhood and the abandonment and mistreatment from both biological parents. So I guess you can say I have both a mother and father wound which did not set me up for success lol. But through many years of therapy and forgiveness, I healed those wounds. I keep these people at a very strong distance and have no contact which is essential for healing. The forgiveness is not for them-its for myself so that I dont keep punishing myself by holding onto grudges. I am truly happy now. Do I wish I would have been given decent parents? Totally. But those were not the cards that I was dealt. And thats okay. I am stronger, wiser, and more powerful than I could have ever imagined becoming.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Is the public version of you the real you?
I would say yes absolutely so. I try to share my struggles openly-in the past perhaps I have been way more open than I should have been. But I share my personal thoughts and hardships to inspire others and so that they wont feel so isolated whether its in their self image, their motherhood, etc. Once upon a time all I did was post filtered and edited perfection. Nowadays I love the woman I am and I stay authentic-even on social media

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace when my family is complete-on those weeks where I have all 3 kids and we are sitting at home, finishing a home cooked meal. When I lay my head down at night and I know I have worked hard to support my family’s future, that makes me feel so at ease. When I have all 3 kids, it gets chaotic trust me, but I would not have it any other way. Having my family together is peaceful to me.
