Story & Lesson Highlights with Ahmaine Canada of Los Angeles

We recently had the chance to connect with Ahmaine Canada and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Ahmaine, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
The first 90 minutes of my day looks like I’m praying (trying to make it a habit not to use my phone when i first wake up) reading my Bible , then i would organize my room , drink some water , stretch and then proceed to get my day started, with getting dressed for the gym or early morning walk. And of course my hygiene is added into all of this as well lol 😊

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Ahmaine , I am a sister. I am a daughter, I am a creator, I am a researcher. I am a great friend. My brand is real organiK.. It is based off total authenticity and being brutally honest within myself and to my audience , because without that there is no Ahmaine. Without me being organik , there is simply no me at all. There is no brand that’s what makes me unique. My brand is specifically me being myself. Me now being a published author for my latest book (Yes I’ll have that to go please ) on Amazon platform, as well as having a thriving blog (Yes I’ll have that to go please) and following up with my podcast (thank you for staying with me) on Spotify platform. All these things are tangled together of me being 100% honest on my journey , my mistakes, my shortcomings, my positivity, my achievements, and where I was to proceeding where I am going..

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
I was someone who necessarily wasn’t lost, but was conformed to the world, and I looked up to a lot of brokenness and entertainment, that blinded me to see the beautiful soul that I am.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yes there was a time I wanted to give up recently back in December I wanted to give up my mother was hurt really bad and was hospitalized and I wanted to give up, and prior I lost several loved ones and it was a lot on my heart, and I wanted to give up then.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Where are smart people getting it totally wrong today?
I think smart people are totally getting it wrong today when they insist not to listen to younger people.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
OMG lol if I had 10 years left, I would immediately stop overthinking everything lol, I would then probably quit my job and and spend more quality time with my family, I would smile more and let things be what it is and not control them.
