We recently had the chance to connect with AP Pasquale Panico and have shared our conversation below.

Pasquale, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What do you think others are secretly struggling with—but never say?
The concepts of life and time. I think we all try to find a good balance and at times act like we have it all figured out. But, in all reality what does “having it all figured out look like” and are we making the best of our time and life with the gifts we are wired with.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
What up everyone that’s reading!? I go by AP, Pasquale Panico. I am an independent artist working with Bentley Records in New York the past four years. My whole life I have been working multiple jobs, nothing more recently than my art and music. My work is all based off of true events. In the last articles I spoke about a Busta Rhymes feat. and Wiz Khalifa feat. which have both been released. It was a big milestone for my brand, and personally something I always wanted to do. I am currently heading out west and performing. More recently at the Rap Arena in Las Vegas which is owned by Rick Ross, ran by Matty Ice and MMG (Maybach Music Group). I released two tracks in between all of that called “Go” & “Us We”.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who taught you the most about work?
Life experiences. And my father when we were around each other in the past.

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Not everything is meant to be, nothing happens over night, and time doesn’t heal everything.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
That it isn’t about money… and that everyone wins.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What do you think people will most misunderstand about your legacy?
That it was personal. At a point my legacy turned and in my mind what people will get most misunderstood is that I am doing this all for the seeds I have planted… my kids. That you can do anything you set your mind to. If you work hard, are passionate, and truly love something then nothing should ever stop you from doing what your heart truly desires.
