Story & Lesson Highlights with Ashley Vinas of Summerlin

Ashley Vinas shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Good morning Ashley, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What are you chasing, and what would happen if you stopped?
I’m chasing the dream just like anybody else! I’m doing what I can to make sure my children can experience a different life than I did as a child honestly I’m just wanting a normal life nothing too crazy, but if I stopped everything would fall apart in a domino effect so stopping is not an option

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I started Toke Soaks over 13 years ago with just an idea and a couple bucks in my pocket. A toke soak bath bomb is a THC infused bath bomb that you throw in the tub if you’re in any pain if you can’t sleep or if you just need to relax. The bath bomb itself gives you a euphoric feeling but does not get you high. once the bath bomb dissolves in the bathtub however, a little waterproof container pops up with a bowl of flower for you to enjoy so you end up with a head and body high!

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
my first memory that I can recall where I felt the most powerful was when all my hard work paid off and I seen my company flourishing. I used to walk on foot with a tray of bath bombs at the beach and sell them until everyone knew who I was. It was pretty cool seeing that my hard work wasn’t in vain and my product was becoming recognizable

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Honestly a couple weeks before getting invited to be a part of this wonderful magazine again I was ready to give up. I have been operating off of Instagram the past 13 years and built up a wonderful customer base, but unfortunately, my page was taken down and I lost every one of my customers and I have been struggling. I have faith that it will pick back up, but I almost thought about just getting a normal job and quitting. Honestly being invited to be a part of this again made me realize I need to suck it up and try to get my customers back!

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends and family would say that they are what matters to me most. Money comes and goes and material things can be replaced, but friends and family cannot. I’m a nurture I like to make sure that everyone is taken care of even when I myself am not.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. Could you give everything your best, even if no one ever praised you for it?
I always give everything my best effort, even when no one was watching. I was in foster care and don’t have family so I’ve never really had anybody to praise me I’ve kinda learned to just do it and praise myself 🙂
