We recently had the chance to connect with Behshid Namiranian and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Behshid, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
The first 90 minutes of my day are my quiet reset before the busy part of the day begins. I usually start with a big glass of warm water with fresh lemon juice and a few minutes of stretching with breathing exercises. I love catching the morning light, it instantly lifts my energy. Then I’ll make a cup of tea or my usual green juice and review the day’s plan.
Most mornings I spend the next hour focused on BeeBee Sweets. catching up on emails, checking messages from retailers, reviewing ingredient orders, or brainstorming new jam recipes. I like to move slowly but purposefully. Those early moments set the tone for the rest of my day. It’s about balancing calm with motivation.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m the founder of BeeBee Sweets, an artisanal jam company based in Orange County that I created in honor of my dad, who absolutely loved sweets. At BeeBee Sweets, we create jams using organic fruits and pure honey instead of refined sugar, a natural twist that makes them both delicious and wholesome. Every batch is made in small quantities with care, and I focus on flavor combinations that feel comforting yet elevated.
I’ve always cared deeply about living a healthy lifestyle and believe what we eat creates our health. That’s why every ingredient I use has a purpose. I wanted to bring back the feeling of homemade goodness, the kind that connects people through simple pleasures. Right now, I’m focused on expanding BeeBee Sweets, collaborating with more retailers and increasing production while keeping that same handmade quality that started it all.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
When I was a child, I used to believe that being kind and genuine would always protect me, that if my heart was in the right place, I wouldn’t get hurt. As I grew older, I learned that isn’t always the case. There were moments that challenged that belief and taught me that I can’t control others, but I can trust myself and timing.
Those experiences helped me build inner strength and self-reliance. I no longer believe that goodness alone shields pain. I believe it gives you the power to heal, grow, and transform it into something meaningful. That’s the energy behind BeeBee Sweets, turning something difficult into something full of love.
What have been the defining wounds of your life—and how have you healed them?
The defining wounds of my life was losing my dad to cancer. It opened my eyes to what truly matters in life: health, family, love, and time. His passing left a silence that taught me how precious time is and how important is to live with purpose.
Healing came slowly, through reflection, gratitude, and creating something meaningful in his memory. BeeBee Sweets was born from that place. It became my way of honoring him, spreading warmth, and sharing love through something simple yet heartfelt. It’s more than just a business for me; it’s a reminder of the sweetness he brought into my life.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes, the public version of me is the real me, just a more composed version. What I share through BeeBee Sweets comes from a very genuine place. The warmth, the attention to detail, the love for health and nature, that’s all truly me.
There’s also a playful side of me with a good sense of humor that doesn’t always show around. I love to laugh, joke around, and not take life too seriously. Of course, there’s also a quieter, more reflective side that people don’t always see. But I don’t create a version of myself for others. What people see is real; it just doesn’t show every chapter of the story.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace when I’m surrounded by nature, especially near the ocean or during my quiet walks. There’s something about the sound of waves, the fresh air, and the stillness that helps me reconnect with myself.
I also find peace when I’m creating something, whether I’m cooking at home or working on something new for BeeBee Sweets. Being in my own space, working with real ingredients, and letting creativity flow. In those moments, I feel calm, grateful, and completely aligned with my purpose.
