We recently had the chance to connect with Bo Stegall and have shared our conversation below.
Good morning Bo , we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: Who are you learning from right now?
My husband Dustin Lark-Stegall and my daughter Noa Grace Lark-Stegall.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Bo Stegall is my brand name. My private name is Bo Lark-Stegall. I own Bo Stegall | The Salon, Noble Dog Hotel, Bo Stegall | The Collection, and The Lark Restaurant with my husband Dustin Lark-Stegall. We are also heavily invested in commercial and residential real estate.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who taught you the most about work?
My parents had the most beautiful relationship and work ethic. I lost my mother Faye Stegall when I was just 17 years old and then lost my father in 2021. They both worked so hard as small business owners and I grew up finding entrepreneurship as the norm.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
You can’t do extraordinary things unless you are placed in extraordinary circumstances. All of my pain fueled all of my success. My suffering brought me closer to God. Through Christ I can do all things.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
Being the best father I can be to Noa Grace. Giving to others without recognition. Making sure the customers of all my small businesses truly know how valued they are. It is because of their support my family gets to eat at night.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: Have you ever gotten what you wanted, and found it did not satisfy you?
I’ve been very blessed to accomplish every goal I’ve ever set in my career. This taught me a valuable lesson about life. It is not about the dream coming true that creates joy, it is in fact the pursuit of that dream that gives you purpose. The ultimate joy is serving a purpose.
