Good morning Camille, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Camille Sanders! Founder of Winscent Wicks, a non toxic + pet safe candle company. A few years ago I noticed Winston (my frenchie) would constantly be sneezing, itching and rubbing his face. At first I thought it was just seasonal allergies, but little did I k ow it was caused by the generic store bought candles I was constantly burning in my home! I knew there had to be a solution, so I got right to work to create a non toxic AND pet safe candle that is safe for ALL members of your household, even the four legged ones.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My husband, most deffinetly! He helped me elevate Winscent Wicks to what it is today! He’s been such an incredible parter who believed in this vision.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Oh absolutely! When I first started Winscent Wicks, I was hand pouring LOTS of candles late at nite after work in my tiny one bedroom apartment. There were many times I wanted to throw in the towel. But I’m so proud of myself for focusing on the big picture.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. How do you differentiate between fads and real foundational shifts?
Stay true to you and your core values. Because those will never go out of style.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
Stressing over the unknown and/or things that haven’t even happened yet.
