We’re looking forward to introducing you to Cara D’Adamo. Check out our conversation below.
Cara, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
Integrity is most important to me because it holds a great deal of significance in all aspects of my life. My family has always instilled a strong sense of integrity within me, and I strive to demonstrate it every day through my actions and decisions. Whether it is being honest, taking responsibility or standing up for what is right. I carry those lessons with me in everything I do. Integrity builds trust, strengthens relationships and creates a foundation of respect in both my professional and personal life.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Cara D’Adamo, I am a working artist and Founder of Faith Over Fear Studio & Productions. Since an early age, I have always had a passion for music and acting. I come from an Artistic family, my Father is a musician, my Mother is a sketch artist and my Sister is a Union Hair Stylist. I grew up surrounded by the beauty of art and all its forms. I started my early years performing in musical theater productions, choir and comedy shows. My first televised performance was for Nickelodeon at the age of five. Since then, I have made an impact in both the music and entertainment industry. Over the years, I have performed in a group with Atlantic Records, music videos with Grammy Award Winning Artists, and acted in stage, film, television and nationwide commercials. Right now, I am currently working on multiple projects and started my own production company to help, teach and mentor artists.
Faith Over Fear Studio & Productions is more than just a creative space, it is a movement rooted in purpose, passion and authenticity. We specialize in empowering emerging artists, young performers and underrepresented voices through acting performance coaching, artist mentorship and personal development, photography and videography services, workshops and classes, as well as production support. We believe that every voice matters and that art is healing, storytelling is power and community is everything. My goal and hope as an artist and entrepreneur, is to create works that inspires, engages and connects with others through the powerful medium of storytelling. We want to build a stronger creative community that uplifts others and reminds the world of the power of purpose, passion and hope.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who taught you the most about work?
My Dad has taught me some of the most important lessons about work and dedication. Watching him throughout my life, I’ve seen firsthand what it means to be a hard worker, not just putting in hours, but showing up with honesty, determination, and pride in everything he does.
I started working at the age of 13, and from that moment on, I never looked back. I quickly realized that work is a way to build character, to push myself beyond limits, and ultimately to learn. My Dad’s unwavering commitment inspired me to develop a strong work ethic that I carry with me in every aspect of my life.
I am highly motivated because I know the value of perseverance and responsibility. Even when challenges arise or the path seems difficult, I draw strength from the lessons I learned about resilience, doing the right thing even when it’s hard, and never settling for less than what I deserve.
Work, for me, is an extension of my values, it’s where I express my purpose, my passion, and my commitment to growth. I see every opportunity as a chance to learn and to lead by example. I carry his lessons with me every day, and they continue to remind me that showing up with heart, discipline, and integrity is what truly defines success.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
If I could say one thing to my younger self, it would be this:
You matter, Cara.
You have always mattered, even in the moments when you doubted your worth or felt unseen. Your voice has always been there, strong and meaningful, even when it felt small. Never lose hope in the talents and gifts that God placed inside you. They were given to you for a reason.
Hold on to your dreams, and don’t be afraid to strive for more, because you deserve more. You are capable, you are enough, and you are never alone on this journey.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends would say that what matters most to me is my faith, family, and friendships, it is the foundation of everything I do. They’d tell you I lead with kindness, that I care deeply about making people feel seen, heard, and valued. Whether it’s through a conversation, a creative project, or just showing up when it counts, I try to leave people better than I found them.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace when I’m surrounded by the people who matter most to me, those who know my heart, speak life into my life, and offer the kind of support that grounds me. There’s a deep sense of comfort in being with people who truly see you, where laughter, love, and even silence feel sacred. Their presence reminds me that I am never alone and that faith, love and kindness, is the true foundation of everything that matters.
I also find a different kind of peace in the creative process, when I’m fully immersed in bringing a story or character to life. There’s something sacred about stepping into a role, tapping into emotion, and allowing myself to become a vessel for something greater than me. Whether I’m on stage, in front of a camera, directing or mentoring others through their own creative journey, I feel connected to my purpose in a beautiful way.
It’s in those two spaces, in connection with others and in the art of creation, that I feel most alive, most centered, and most in tune with who God has created me to be.
