We’re looking forward to introducing you to Christina Charron. Check out our conversation below.
Christina, a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What’s the most surprising thing you’ve learned about your customers?
I have come to realize that every individual has a unique narrative. My clientele encompasses a diverse range of ages and backgrounds, and I thoroughly enjoy establishing personal connections with them and learning about their distinct experiences and life paths. Having personally navigated a breast cancer journey three years ago, I am struck by the number of past and current clients who have undergone similar experiences or have had family members affected by breast cancer.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Greetings, my name is Christina Charron, and I am a skilled Cosmetic Tattoo Artist and Esthetician based at Perspective Ink in Kansas City, MO. My specialization lies in eyebrows and lash extensions. I am dedicated to empowering women to feel more confident about their appearance daily. Our tattoo shop, staffed and owned entirely by women, promotes a supportive environment centered around self-love and positivity. With two Cosmetic Tattooists and two Body Tattooists on board, we provide a full spectrum of tattoo services.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My mother and father are the individuals I would credit. My family and friends have consistently been my biggest advocates. They showed confidence in me when I didn’t. They instilled in me the strength and courage to pursue my dreams at a later stage in life.
What have been the defining wounds of your life—and how have you healed them?
I have successfully navigated a breast cancer journey, transitioning from a normal life to undergoing a double mastectomy, which was a surreal experience. This journey has taught me to appreciate life’s subtle aspects that I previously overlooked. I have learned to prioritize tasks I had been postponing I am now cancer-free. I am utilizing my experience to support others by establishing the Kansas City Breast Cancer Warrior group on Facebook, a platform for individuals to share their journeys, access resources, and seek guidance.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
They would claim that I value spending quality time with loved ones above all else, recognizing the significance of life’s small joys, and being considerate of others’ emotional well-being.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I aspire to have my story told, one that highlights my unyielding resilience and bravery in the face of adversity, ultimately leading me to where I stand today. That I have consistently exhibited an unrelenting work ethic, an ardent passion for life, and an unwavering commitment to my endeavors.
