Story & Lesson Highlights with Crissy Hines of Killeen, Tx

Crissy Hines shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Hi Crissy , thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What is a normal day like for you right now?
A normal day for me is waking up at 4 AM to train at my gym. Yes I’m a personal trainer/ gym owner. I train from 5 am to 9 am than I workout myself. I come home get myself dressed for my first client at 1 pm. I go visit my husband at our gym because he trains from 5 pm to 8 pm. I leave to cook and start all over again tomorrow.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Heyyyyy my name is CrisShandle Hines but everyone calls me Crissy. I’m a Retired Veteran and mother of 5 grown children. I’m a licensed cosmetologist and professional makeup artist. 3 years ago I was diagnosed with lupus and I took my fitness and health very seriously. Now I’m a personal trainer and a gym owner with my husband.

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
My relationship with my daughter showed me how to carry myself and recognize that she is always looking at how I react to certain situations. I don’t ever want someone other than me to be her role model.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I would tell my younger self to never let nobody steal your light. Shine bright and be your authentic self regardless of what anyone thinks.

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What’s a cultural value you protect at all costs?
My Faith in Jesus Christ

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What do you understand deeply that most people don’t?
I understand without God none of this is possible
