Story & Lesson Highlights with Dana Watts & Casey Hardy of Rural community

We recently had the chance to connect with Dana Watts & Casey Hardy and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Dana & Casey, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
Coffee and emails. What a combo, Lol

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, We are Dana Watts and. Casey Hardy and we co-own Scrubitup. An aunt and nephew business relationship that happens to work good for us. Scrubitup is the world’s first floor sponge, made for quick, easy and effortless cleanup.. made for all floor surfaces, including rugs and carpet just wet, wipe and wring out, reuse and it’s eco-friendly. We are currently in 13 stores and are speaking with some big box retailers at this time which we are super excited about!!

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
This is easy. We both saw ourselves in each other..

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
We believe suffering causes the root to success. It teaches you to overcome your obstacles while you are thankful for success, it does not teach you that. Struggles and suffering can lead to a high road of success if you handle them correctly.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Is the public version of you the real you?
Absolutely and we feel that’s what makes us a great team. There’s nothing like having a good relationship on the business side and showing your sense of humor, which is a quality we both have. We believe people want us to be real and we want the same thing., it makes for an easier journey

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
We hope our story would be that we worked hard for our families and tried to make a difference, leaving a legacy to your children and grandchildren is priceless
