We’re looking forward to introducing you to Dr. Karly Abel Kantarevic. Check out our conversation below.
Hi Karly, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What is a normal day like for you right now?
A normal day is filled with so much laughter, to-do lists, and love. It begins with an intentional morning with my daughter—sometimes a dance party on the way to school, sometimes a pep talk about what she can expect, or simply the two of us racing the clock not to be late.
From there, I transition into clinic life, where the rhythms are a mix of chiropractic care, functional medicine, and mentoring. There’s a lot that goes into leading a thriving holistic health practice—especially while bringing on a new doctor!
Evenings return me to motherhood: dance practice drop-offs, a family walk, and winding down together by sharing our favorite parts of the day and reading a book
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hiiii ✨ My name is Dr. Karly, I am a healer, the community wise woman, and the founder of Abel Chiropractic and The Healing Collective Apothecary.
My work blends science and soul—helping patients heal through chiropractic care, functional medicine, and nervous system resets while also creating ritual-based experiences that bring health into daily life. What makes my brand unique is the ecosystem we’re building: a thriving clinic, a modern apothecary curated like a luxury boutique, and a mentorship academy for other healers who want to create their dream practices without burning out. At the heart of it all, I’m a mom, entrepreneur, and visionary devoted to making health both deeply personal and beautifully communal.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
The people who saw me clearly before I could see myself were my mom, my husband, and my mentor. Each in their own way, they reflected back a vision of who I could become long before I fully stepped into it. My mom always believed in my strength and resilience, my husband reminded me of my gifts even in the messy middle, and my mentor held up a mirror to the healer and leader I was growing into. Their belief gave me the courage to believe in myself.
What fear has held you back the most in your life?
The fear that’s held me back the most is the fear of being “too much.” For a long time, I worried about taking up too much space, shining too brightly, or dreaming too big. Now, I embrace it. If the right stage doesn’t exist, I’ll build my own—and in doing so, I’ve found that my “too much” is actually exactly what was needed
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
One of the biggest lies in my industry is that you constantly need more and more new patients. It’s simply not true. A thriving practice is built on referrals, trust, and the quality of care you deliver—not endless marketing gimmicks. I’ve proven that you can fill your schedule working just 3.5 days a week by focusing on depth, relationships, and results. More is not better; better is better.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: If immortality were real, what would you build?
If immortality were real, I would build a living ecosystem of healing—spaces that feel like sanctuaries in every community, where people come not just for care but for connection, ritual, and renewal. I’d devote eternity to growing a movement of healers and visionaries who ripple out change across generations. In many ways, I’m already building the foundation—clinic, apothecary, mentorship academy—but with endless time, I’d weave it into something that could keep nourishing people forever
