We’re looking forward to introducing you to Dylan Nierstedt & Robert Hillmann. Check out our conversation below.

Good morning Dylan & Robert, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? Are you walking a path—or wandering?
Dylan: I’m wandering through the Silent Hill fog world.

Robert: I’m walking on the path of Snake Way from Dragon Ball Z.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hello. We’re Dylan Nierstedt and Robert Hillmann, the two wizards behind Elated Magazine. We run a monthly magazine featuring international artists of all mediums, as well as articles covering everything from pop culture to extraterrestrial life.

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
Uncomfortability has the potential to make or break a bond between people. How you react determines the outcome; Being able to push through it is what restores the bond and promotes growth between people, while shying away in the face of adversity will create a fragile landscape between people.

When you were sad or scared as a child, what helped?
Milk and cookies… and good company.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Whose ideas do you rely on most that aren’t your own?
Dylan: Camille Paglia’s.

Robert: The Ether’s.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. When do you feel most at peace?
Dylan: When my head hits the pillow at night.

Robert: When I am free to do what I want with my time. No pressing tasks or plans. Typically, that free time is spent creating art of some sort.
