Story & Lesson Highlights with Ella Saul of Oklahoma City

We recently had the chance to connect with Ella Saul and have shared our conversation below.

Ella, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Honestly, playing the Sims in my downtime has been bringing me joy these days.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Ella Saul, I’ve been doing photography for about 8 years now and have loved every minute of it, including renaming my business. I changed the name from Purple Panda Photography to EllaMint Media to better reflect what I wanted to offer to my clients: media in multiple elements. In efforts to expand upon that I’m now I’m attending the Broadcast and Video Production class at Francis Tuttle so I can offer more services to clients in the future.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What part of you has served its purpose and must now be released?
I would say my dead name, it just never felt like it was mine and now that I have found my name the dead one can be released.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
Things won’t always be like this, everything will get so much better. It won’t be anything like what you imagined but you’ll be happy.

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My friends and family

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. Have you ever gotten what you wanted, and found it did not satisfy you?
Yes, when I was younger I wanted to be a pediatrician, but I got my CNA and got into the medical feild and while I still love medicine, I didn’t like being in the actual feild of medicine.
