Story & Lesson Highlights with Gisemonde Moise Menard of Youngsville

We recently had the chance to connect with Gisemonde Moise Menard and have shared our conversation below.

Gisemonde, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Advocate for health and wellness in my community

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Gisemonde Moise, and im the founder of N’happy& Beautiful – a hair care manufaturing company that’s been in business for over 11 years, I’m passionate about helping people feel confident in their natural beauty, and I’ve dedicated my career to creating high qualityhair care products that truly deliver results. Over the years, I’ve worked closely with entrepreneurs, salons, and beauty brands to help them launch and grow their own products lines through our private label services. Most recently, in November, I launched an online cosmetic class to teach others how to formulate and build their own beauty business. For me , it’s not just about selling products – its abouts creating opportunities and empowering in the beauty space.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who taught you the most about work?
I would say my husband has taught me the most about work. He’s not only my life partner, but also my mentor and business partner. From the beginning, he believed in my vision and pushes me to think bigger, work smarter, and lead with confidence. His support, both emotionally and strategically, has been one of the biggest reasons we’ve been able to grow N’happy & Beautiful into what it is today. We’ve learned a lot together through every challenge and success – and I’m really proud of what we’ve build as a team

What fear has held you back the most in your life?
When i was sad or scared as a child, the person who helped me the most was my granma. I would sit with her, talk about what I was feeling, and pray together. She always created a safe place for me to open up, and her words and faith gave me resilience, patience, and the important of having a strong spiritual foundation, leson i still carry with me today, both personally and in my business.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What’s a cultural value you protect at all costs?
As a Haitian, one cultural value I protect at all costs is staying connected with my roots. I’m DEEPLY proud of where I come from – our strength, our resilience, our creativity, and our strong sense of community. I make it a priority to pass those to my children, so they know who they are and where they from. Whether its our language, our food, our traditions, or our faith, I beleive it’s important to honor our culture and keep it alive across generations.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: If you retired tomorrow, what would your customers miss most?
If i retired today, I think my customers would miss my devotion the most. I’ve always made it a priority to truly be present- to listen, support, and guide them through every step of their journey. Whether it’s helping them launch their own hair care line or teaching them how to create their own hair care products for themselves from inside out, I’m deeply committed to their growth. They would miss not just the products, but the connection, the encouragement, and the knowledgeI love to share, especially around building a healthy and wealthy lifesyles.
