Hi Golden, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What battle are you avoiding?
To be COMPLETELY HONEST?…… PROCESSING GRIEF!!!! I really haven’t been much the same, since losing my Mama, in August of 2024; Losing a Parent, whether you’re close to them or not, Changes you in ways, unimaginable….. So, that’s the battle I’ve been avoiding.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hello, Readers-to-be, My Name is Golden C. Carter, Jr., coming to you by way of Philadelphia, PA; I am a Loving Husband, Girl Dad of 1, a Healthcare Professional by Trade, and in my spare time, I host a Weekly Music Show, called ‘THE BREAK ROOM’ on Internet platform ON THE BEAT RADIO, Based out of Houston, Texas, as well as my own Personal Clothing Brand, Chateau Carter Originals.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
Growing up in the Mix of 2 Cities, Philadelphia and Chester City, I was pretty much a carefree, curious, and quite a bit shy Kid, who once saw only the Good in others, and everyone was Harmless; of course, we’re talking about throughout 80’s, until the Early 90’s.
What fear has held you back the most in your life?
My BIGGEST FEAR, of all….. Is FAILURE!!! to the point it’s almost crippling in a sense. I’ve had to overcome so many odds and Adversities throughout my life, that whenever I feel like I’m on the brink of failing at Anything, it feels like I’m suffocating. But, I’m still working on reassuring myself that as long as I stay committed to my Goals and planted in Faith, everything will work itself out.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What important truth do very few people agree with you on?
That most of our Personal Journeys throughout Life and Business, are taken ALONE; as important as basic Human Connection is to all of Us, there are intervals in our Lives that we must experience Alone, especially for Personal growth and Clarity.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. If you laid down your name, role, and possessions—what would remain?
Without Question, ME!!! ‘Chateau’ is the Business Guy, the one who shows up to Contribute to his entrepreneurs & creatives, the one who has clever ideas; but at my bare essence, Golden, the Man, the Husband, the Father, the Friend, the One who loves Deeply, that’s who would remain.
