Story & Lesson Highlights with HOPE HILL of Flower Mound

HOPE HILL shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

HOPE, really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Oh, hands down, the biggest source of joy lately has been watching my family rally around my dad as he recovers from his second stroke. It’s truly a beautiful thing to witness—my husband, son, and daughter have turned into his personal recovery squad!
But if I have to pick the peak moment of joy? It was during a visit to the rehab hospital where they held a highly important “Funny Shirt Strategy Session.”
My kids were throwing out ideas for funny custom shirts for him to wear, and suddenly, Dad—who hasn’t had a proper belly laugh in ages—started belly laughing! He was laughing so hard at one suggestion, saying it was absolutely ridiculous and “didn’t make any sense!” Watching that genuine, deep laughter just bubble up out of him was the sweetest sound in the world.
Then, to top it all off, he got serious for a second, looked at his whole crew, and said, “I love you, and you are my favorite.”
Seeing him get better every day, sharing laughs, and feeling that family bond is the absolute best thing bringing me joy right now!

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m the owner and Personalization Specialist behind Hope Hill Everyday Image, where I work magic across everything from Embroidery and Engraving to Direct-to-Garment printing and Laser Engraving. Basically, if you can put a custom image or message on it, I can make it happen! While I love celebrating all of life’s major milestones, I especially enjoy partnering with local legends like Local Pint, Flurry’s Meat Market and Provisions, and Flourish Flower Shop right here in Flower Mound.
But here’s my unique twist: I’m also a Travel Consultant with Expedia Cruises!
My special niche right now is combining these two passions into personalized travel bundles. This idea sparked when I created gifts for my own “Cruise Crew,” dubbed Hope Hill’s Travel Tribe. This isn’t just a fun name; it’s also my Facebook community page where everyone can go to share their own travel stories and maybe join a group adventure!
To support the tribe, I make sure everyone travels in style and never loses their gear—creating everything from matching tumblers and shirts to bracelets etched with fun, practical sayings like “If Lost Return to…”—which quickly became a bestseller!
What truly makes my brand special is the focus on making memories tangible. I’m currently in my 14th year of partnership with brands like L’Oréal’s YSL, Prada, and Miu Miu fragrances, where I’m hired to do custom laser engraving and embroidery at holiday events. It’s a busy time, but nothing beats seeing the pure delight on someone’s face when they receive a gift that’s been made just for them.
I’m here to help you turn an ordinary object into an extraordinary keepsake and plan your next great trip!

Okay, so here’s a deep one: What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
The relationship that most shapes how I see myself isn’t just one person—it’s the lifelong, evolving tapestry of love and support woven by my family and friends.
As a child, my parents laid the foundational groundwork, constantly showing me that I naturally tend to see the positive and loving side of every situation. They instilled in me the belief that I was a happy and optimistic person.
That belief was reinforced and celebrated by my amazing friendships through the years. My friends were mirrors, consistently pointing out that I was the one who always had a smile and always looked for the good. These lifelong connections have confirmed my core nature as an optimistic and loyal person.
Today, my husband and kids continue this incredible legacy. They see a different kind of strength in me now. Through thick and thin, they constantly remind me that I am strong, resilient, and unwavering. They show me that no matter the challenge, I can be counted on to be there for those who need me most.
Ultimately, these relationships have shaped me into someone who is defined by optimism, loyalty, strength, and an unbreakable commitment to family and friends.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
You’re going to be okay. Keep smiling and keep being you. True friendships last! Even though you are moving cross country at 12- those friends will always be there!

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
I think my closest friends would say what really matters to me is the health and happiness of my family, friends and all I meet.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope people tell people, I was a honest, loyal, loving person who helped everyone I could, with a smile on my face.
